  1. It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)

    In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

  2. Starting from July 2024 Malaysia government implement e-invoicing. It would be grateful if Xero could integrate with LHDN. It will save lots of hustle and time to upload the invoices into the portal. Hope this can be done before the implementation begins.

  3. Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."

    Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

  4. We have an issue with our Xero clients where we ask them to reconcile their accounts and let us know once completed so we can process their BAS.

    The problem is that they never let us know so we have to go in to each client and see if they have reconciled up to the end of the prior period. This is very time consuming.

    Is there a way that on the My Xero screen, there can be a column with some kind of indicator when a month or period has been completed?

    This could be a quick visual guide…

  5. In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
    Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
    As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.
    Please make it so edit layout does not remove date fields…

  6. Archiving a client with a Xero Ledger/Plan seems almost too easy as there is no warning to prompt you to cancel the subscription/or remove yourself as a user - So you could end up paying for a Xero Ledger/plan indefinitely and not know.

    As an example, we discovered 20+ entities that had been archived in XPM/XeroHQ but not cancelled in Xero.

    There is currently no way to easily find out if any active ledgers/plans are on the Archived list (which thanks to the Xero Single Client Record Process we now have 3,000+ archived clients) as you

  7. Home page or landing page -- can you put the "go to xero" button on the left of the client's name? The new page makes it so I have to scroll so far to the right to get to those buttons, that I no longer know which client is on which line of the table. It is harder to log in and go directly to my client's books now.

  9. Xero apps - In Xero HQ we use to have the apps under the explorer tab, to see the most popular apps and what clients are using them. It was highly useful to advise clients when an app was to cease or we were introducing an alternative to see who was using it.

  12. Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
    We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.

  13. In any particular Xero account, you can review the history notes (essentially an audit log), however we do not seem to have the ability to audit a particular staff member's activity across all clients.

    This would be useful if you have a particular firm employee making the same mistake across multiple reconciliations. You could see their access/activity log to know which clients you needed to review. Or if you simply needed to know every client the employee has touched in a certain timeframe.

  14. Add a custom column similar to a custom row into reports.

    This would be used to include quantities for livestock reports, for automating % of trust distributions payable to beneficiaries prior end of June.

    This currently can't be done in reports.

    Absolutely loving the new 'hide' note function in the financial statement templates. This is a much appreciated update! Could we look into adding an option for certain notes to be hidden by default in the adviser report templates? The reason being, that our firm uses a standardised template that includes a number of accounting policy notes that may not be applicable for all entity types. Our current process was to delete the notes that were not relevant and there are a number of notes that are irrelevant more often than not. If we had the ability to hide…

  16. We're looking to add an indicator as to subscription ownership for the Xero HQ client list. This is just to say if the organisation is billed directly to the partner or if the partner is invited in and the client is responsible for the subscription.

    This will be crucial for the Spark and Helix rollout to help customers work through with their clients and get subscriptions updated. We also believe this could help with transitioning some organisations from being partner billed to direct billed which will increase revenue for Xero.

  17. Ask Queries - Automated reminders
    The ability to have automated reminders on Ask queries would save substantial time (and reduce likelihood of things getting forgotten) and reduce likelihood of having to go to an alternative paid app in order to get this functionality (eg ContentSnare)

  18. Be able to see the email body of the document pack that was sent or alternatively a copy of the document pack sent to the staff member who sent it to the client so that there is a record of what the email body contained.
