Prepayments & Accrual Schedules
Instead of using spreadsheets, it would be very handy for Xero to have prepayment & accruals schedules built-in that act similar to the Fixed Asset function.
For example, when you allocated a new invoice to the prepayment nominal, Xero would detect that transaction and add it to the schedule. At the end of the month, you access the Prepayment & Accruals screen, go to drafts, and fill out a form giving it the period with su[plier, start date, end date and number of days/weeks/months it lasts (this would determine how often a journal is created when ran). Xero HQ fixed assets - Lookup to ATO Effective Life
In the Fixed Assets module, it would be helpful to have the option to link to the ATO's Effective Life tables when adding a new asset. This feature would allow users to search for the Effective Life of an asset. It should also be possible to overwrite this value, allowing you to input a different number of years if they choose to self-assess. Having access to the ATO's guidance would be extremely helpful.

New Client Insights needs more filtering capability
The new Client Insights section, I clicked in today from the newsletter, would be good to be able to filter by Client Partner/Manager as we can currently see all clients in the practice with no ability to filter.

Bank Rule File/Folder
Could we attach the original document to the bank rule so others with access to the account can view the source document?

Xero HQ: archived clients with subscriptions.
Be able to export list of archived clients, especially if they still have xero subscription that was missed to cancel. So that these can be easily reviewed.
We are paying Xero for no reason at all.
Also the ability to bulk change those archived clients eg cancel subscriptions
Perhaps when clients are archived there should be something to flag to remember to do something with the subscription eg cancel or transfer.

XeroHQ | AU Payroll - Report or View STP Unfiled Pay runs
It would be good to be able to run a report of all Xero clients that have unfiled STP, or be able to view at a glance on XeroHQ. This would assist in making sure clients are meeting their compliance obligations quickly rather than go into every client to look at the Payroll Overview.

Log into more than one company
It would be really useful to be able to log into more than one company on an reference basis only. I'm often in the middle of something when I am asked a question relating to another company by a colleague or client. I have to log out just to find one bit of information. I might have multiple windows open with different reports etc that I then lose. This is also very important when working on related companies to see intercompany loans in both companies at once. Xero HQ - Allow users to see all clients and request access as needed
It would be great if ALL users (ie practice staff) in Xero HQ could see all Xero files. It should be obvious on the list which are accessible and which are not (ie if you didn't have access, the Xero org name could be greyed out)
In terms of access, if a particular staff member did not have access to a Xero file, they should be able to request access from a HQ Administrator (with mange user access of course) which can be granted easily. Would be handy to have a 'Why' comment field so the approver knows the context…

Settings - Reducing the size of text/fonts on the screen
Could xero consider reducing the size of text/fonts on the screen. I don't need super extra large enormous text to do my work. Everyone walking past or coming to speak with me can read my screen and see bank details and values, employee names and $ amount and so the list goes on. I have already asked if there can be a bland landing page so that bank accounts (Including balances) are NOT the default screen. Anyone standing nearby can see this information when Xero starts. Both of matters limit confidentiality and most users don't need this sort of exaggerated…

Need the option to add multiple organizations to one client record. At present we are forced to create a duplicate client.

Notification of acceptance of a Xero subscription transfer
We occasionally have issues when transferring Xero subscriptions with the notification being missed by the other party. Is it possible for the subscriber to receive an email when the transfer period is due to expire and the other party has not accepted?

Report Templates - Default client advisor reports to alphabetical order in Xero HQ
Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

Practice Permissions | Manage Users - Enable practice to remove access to client org
Practice Admin have the ability to remove themselves if they have been invite into a potential clients org without manage users.
Potential clients that decide to not go ahead with a Practice but done remove the PA from the org, PA should have the ability to remove themselves.

Partner status - Client detail in points section
Partner Status - recently we handed over some Xero subscriptions to our clients to pay directly. Instead of gaining extra points for our Xero status, our points have gone down. I'd like to be able to see under each partner points section a dropdown menu of the client names and points per client. This will also help me keep on top of our Xero recharges in case a client moves from one tier to another.

Bank feeds - Retain the payment link for Kiwibank & ASB
Xero have announced that they are removing the ability to automatically send batch files across to Kiwibank & ASB on 16th November, in order to "focus our efforts to support areas of Xero that provide the most value for customers."
Speaking on behalf of my clients who actively use this feature, it's of huge value to them. It automates a process that otherwise involves manually downloading a file, logging into internet banking and uploading that file. It's even better for users who don't have internet banking access, but need to set up payment batches on behalf of those that do…

Xero HQ | Clients - Industry Classification Report
We would love a client report showing the Industry as it is in the Xero Organisation Settings.
Currently the report gives the Main Industry classification but not the Sub Category.
For Example the HQ report would show a company industry is Construction but actually the company provides Electrical Services and there is no report to get this detail of all the clients.

Practice Manager | Clients - Add columns
Allow users to add columns for Partner, Manager, Client Group, Xero file type and subscription owner.
We have staff that work for a particular Partner's clients. It would be great to be able to filter the client list by all of the above information so that they can be easily identified for updating new staff permissions.12 votes
