XPM - Be able to look up client based on their client code
The ability to look up client by entering their client code. Currently we have to go to groups and find the client belonging to the group. Our admin system is based on client codes and it would make it easier having the client code look up option.

XPM/Xero Tax - Show Refund/Payable amount in client view/tax return
It would be great to see the tax refund/payable next to the tax return in the client view, tax returns tab, saves opening up the tax form. Would also be good to see the assigned staff member in the jobs tab in client view, saves clicking into job.

Job Manager - Bulk Job Staff Allocation for New Employees
Since the creation of the new Job Manager, we are now unable to bulk add new staff members to staff allocations within a job.
You can bulk add the jobs, but then you need to manually do the job allocations for each job
When you have a new staff member and you want to assign them to 300 jobs, it would make it easier if we could do this in bulk rather than on a job by job basis.

XPM Table Reports allow for ytd operational data to be downloaded on a monthly basis
We wish to undertake analysis by looking for the data contained in the "TIME PRODUCTIVITY - % Billable v Non-Billable Time - Staff Summary" report on a monthly basis in a tabular format.
Unfortunately even though this report is called a "Table Report", XPM does not allow for the year to date date range to be entered but then have the data populate in the report on a monthly basis. Such a feature would greatly enhance a practice's capability of keeping an eye on the operational data for service firms like accounting and legal practices1 vote -

Ability to specify from a list of practice Xero organisations where to publish XPM invoices, as the practice bills from multiple legal entities.

Add Tax Returns tab to client group view
It would be really handy to have a Tax Returns tab when viewing a client group. This would allow you to easily see at a glance the status of a groups tax returns, rather than clicking into each client individually.

Client Search History: being able to see the clients in XPM that you have searched for recently/previous 24hrs. When needing to go back to a client you recently searched and updated etc and need to go back into same client or cannot remember client name etc. Would have thought this would be 'standard feature' as in other progams we use

XPM | ATO Online Services - Automated scheduling of Income Tax Client Report
We leverage the Income Tax Client Report within XPM, and report on lodgements leveraging this data. It would be great if there was the ability to schedule the Tax Agent Request to the ATO for refreshed data - e.g. once per week, so that the reporting we have is automatically refreshed periodically and this doesn't rely on a person refreshing the data manually.

XPM - Link tasks in XPM and item codes in Xero
It would be great to have tasks within jobs (XPM) link to Xero Blue's item codes so that when importing bulk invoices, they can be allocated to a specific task/item code. This will allow for easy reporting both in XPM/Xero Blue.
Otherwise, it would be great to have an option to allocate a task to invoices in Xero Blue that links back to the relevant task in XPM, similarly to the way the Reference field works for jobs.

I would like to do a bulk creation of the Job and also then bulk creation of Tasks and Estimated Time, and to allocate to Staff on the Job. Or an easy entry area to update the Job Task Estimated time so you don't have to enter into each job individually to enter this data.10 votes -
User permissions - Restrict view for users
People who enter invoices and bills but can't access banks should be able to have permission to see AR and AP reports even if they are not permitted to see other reports

Add - Custom column to the Job Manager screen.
Is it possible to have access to be able ''add'' in a custom column to the Job Manager screen as it is not currently possible to add an extra column to the job manager, as the columns are not customizable. Thanks.

Audit trail to see who has created / amended / deleted custom reports. We had a situation where a report was deleted and unable to identify who had inadvertently done this.

Practice Manager | Staff Permissions - Security Groups
It would be great to be able to set up Security Groups with permissions set for each group, which is then applied to each staff member by adding the Staff to that Security Group.
This way, if a permission needs to be changed for a group of Staff, it can be done at the security group level rather than having to click into each Staff member and edit their individual permissions - which can create inconsistencies and easily miss settings when dealing with a large number of Staff.
