  1. It isn't possible to add a quantity column to a report, nor is it possible to pull through Qty data entered in Xero or create a cell the Qty can be manually typed into.

    You can add a note column but this would be to link to a section of the report pack, not a quantity loaded into Xero or a box we could manually type the quantity into. Further the notes section functionality is unable to be renamed and can only be linked to other reports in the report pack. It does not work to bring through Qty data.

    Hi Sally, just to check when you say you'd like to freeze the header row would this be the Report settings at the top of the screen?

    Currently column headers in majority of reports are frozen so you can see these as you scroll through reports.

  3. It would be lovely if a practice could acces every required platform from the Xero dashboard. Including where one can keep an eye on the practices status and points.

  4. Account number to be synced to XPM from Xero. This unique account number/code is very useful and would be great to be automatically synced. Further, if, just like in Xero, it is a set field in XPM that notifies you when you are duplicating a code that has already been used for another client.

  5. The option to filter the reports by tax returns that have been lodged as Final in a certain tax year would be beneficial.
    We could then cross check and archive clients as necessary.
    There are so many fields to choose from in the Fields and Criteria, but this is not one of them.
    It would save us from having to keep a manual list as some can get missed this way.

    We're grateful for your engagement and for this very specific and useful suggestion for reporting in Xero Practice Manager.

    We've reviewed your idea to be able to filter reports by tax returns that have been lodged as 'Final' for a specific year, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this filter would streamline end-of-year processes and remove the need to keep manual lists for cross-checking and archiving clients.

    Along with votes, other practices can now comment to share more details on how this reporting criteria would improve their own client management workflows.🙂

  6. I’m reaching out to request assistance regarding a feature enhancement for Xero Practice Manager (XPM). Currently, XPM allows invoices to be pushed seamlessly to Xero Accounting (blue), which is incredibly helpful. However, I’ve noticed that proposals and estimates created in XPM cannot be pushed to Xero Accounting in the same way.

    I would like to request that XPM be enhanced to support the ability to push proposals and estimates directly to Xero Accounting.     Appreciate you attaching a screenshot to demonstrate your flow here, Badi. Just wanted to check as this is a public forum there's nothing sensitive in this that you wouldn't want others to see?

    Can understand why you'd like to enhance the sync of information and save time in adding these manually in Xero blue.

    Not something we have immediate plans of but we'll start collecting community interest for this through your idea and update if there are any plans made.

  7. When creating a new job the client drop down list can be quite long. it would be good to have the ability to search for the client name instead of selecting from a dropdown menu.

  8. Would like the ability to see Write-ons / Write-offs on the Invoices dashboard for Draft invoices to allow easier review of drafts.

    Alternatively some form of reporting that takes draft invoices into account vs billable time to see 'draft write-ons/offs'.

  9. Create a Registered Office field in the contact details so that for client companies, we can have a quick view of physical/business, postal and registered office details. Currently, we have had to create a custom field, which you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to view.

  10. I learned the hard way after bulk importing 1,700 jobs on the wrong template that you could not delete those imported jobs in bulk. I spent 4 hours individually opening each job from a report and deleting.

    It would be great to use job manager to be able to select jobs (assuming they haven't got any time, costs or invoices associated with them) and delete.

  11. Companies House sync - Client Onboarding

    Would like to see a Companies House sync for this. Our current PM system has this facility and it saves so much time (and is accurate). Also used as a check when submitting annual CS01 forms. We are considering moving to XPM and this would seal the deal

  12. XPM - Lock timesheets when a draft final invoice has been prepared.
    We are having issues with staff adding time to a job when there is a draft Final invoice that has been created. Then the invoice is approved and the added WIP does not get picked up and sits on the now completed job for us to stumble over months later. It makes sense to lock the timesheets when a Final invoice has been drafted.

  13. Being able to link several jobs with the one invoice raised in Xero blue. When issuing through Practice Ignition, it only allows you to allocate to one invoice in XPM. Moving the timesheets is clunky and inaccurate

  14. Hi there, we would like to have a report in XPM to show all the invoices. This would include the normal invoices and prepayment invoices(miscellaneous invoices).

  16. We'd like the ability to import job budgets at the time of importing new jobs. The budget field seems to be a standard field for jobs, so I see there would be no reason we can't add the budget at the same time of the import.

  17. From the initial client view, there should be a number next to the Notes section, to show that there are notes to look at (as there are for invoices, jobs etc)

  18. The document upload function currently allows receipts and invoices are stored only as attachments.

    Add OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology so that scanned or photographed documents automatically populate the transaction fields (date, supplier, amount, tax, reference).

    Benefits for practices:
    • Dramatically reduce manual data entry across client files.
    • Improve accuracy and consistency – fewer typos and errors from re-keying data.
    • Free up time to focus on advisory services rather than admin.
    • Streamline workflows across teams working in Xero HQ, Practice Manager, and client accounts.

  19. Administration staff that raise invoices & therefore have 'Invoice only' privileges also need to be able print/email receipts without need their access increased to 'Standard'.

    This is to avoid those needing to send invoices having access to purchase information, bank accounts & balances.

  20. When something on a job changes (e.g. information is received from a client) it would be good to be able to automatically notify the staff member the job is assigned to in some way.
