1. XPM - Overdue tasks and milestones need to remain in the overdue list

   In the legacy XPM dashboard, the red "Overdue Items" hyperlinks positioned above the Important Dates calendar provided critical, instant visibility into outstanding team work. In the new beta dashboard, this clear indicator has been partially removed and now only reports on overdue jobs but not tasks or milestones.

   We generally have one main job per client for a whole year with tasks that are scheduled and assigned and milestones attached to this job.

   Our practice faces a massive problem if the "Overdue items" are permanently removed as not all overdue items are reported on in the same place. We will now have to manually filter using the 'my tasks' page. This is a backward step.

   Please introduce a dedicated "Overdue" notification banner, counter badge, or customisable homepage widget that segments overdue tasks, milestones and jobs. This is essential before this beta layout becomes permanent on 19th July 2026!!!!!!

   Hi Alison, this view still exists and can be found in the Important Dates tab of Job Manager. 🙂

2. XPM - Tag linked with clients and jobs

   When adding notes under a client or job, they are labelled with different tags. Within the same client, the tags should be interlinked so that when one tag is clicked, all notes with the same tag are displayed.

   Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts around tagging notes and being able to see everything with a particular tag.

   At the moment, there is already functionality in Xero that lets you tag notes and then filter to see all notes with a specific tag. To do this, you can:

   • Add the relevant tag to your notes when you create or edit them.
   • Use the filter option to select that tag.
   • Xero will then show you all notes that have been assigned with that tag.

   Because this behaviour is already supported, we wont be pursuing this Idea. That said, your feedback is still really helpful — it highlights that this existing functionality isn’t as obvious or discoverable as it could be, and we’ll keep that in mind as we look at improving the notes experience over time. 😊
