  1. Following the XPM updates in November and December 2025, the Tax Returns and Notes tabs no longer indicate whether a client has any open tax returns or existing notes.

    This indicator was previously used to quickly identify active items on a client without needing to open each tab, we are particularly missing the notes indicator.

    As similar indicators are still shown for Jobs and Invoices, it would be helpful for consistency and usability if this functionality could be restored for the Tax Returns and Notes tabs as well.

  2. Please add the address column back when you are viewing a client group. With new change to XPM we now have to go into each entity and make a note of what address they are at.

  3. Since the recent update in Nov/Dec 2025, hovering over a client name on the XPM group screen shows a pop-up label that repeats the client name.

    This pop-up does not provide any additional information and often gets in the way while navigating the screen. Removing it would improve usability and reduce unnecessary on-screen clutter.

  4. Since the recent XPM update in Nov/Dec 2025, the group name is less prominent on the 'group' screen, and does not stand out as clearly as it did previously.

    The larger group name made it easier to identify which screen you were on, which is especially important now that many screens have a similar layout. Increasing the prominence or size of the group name again would improve clarity and usability.

  5. Following the XPM updates in November and December 2025, the star indicator within client groups that identified the main entity has been removed.

    This indicator was heavily relied on to quickly identify the primary entity within a group. Please reinstate the star or an equivalent visual marker so the main entity can be clearly identified at a glance.

  6. Since the recent update in November/December 2025, when navigating back using the back arrow from a specific client, the system returns to the full client list rather than the client’s group.

    It would be more helpful if the back arrow returned users to the relevant group view instead of the full client list.

  8. Please bring back the search via address in the client page this was so helpful as it enabled us to find children or partners that may have a different last name and link them to the group.
    Previous layout was a lot better, disappointed in changes.

  9. In the old xero version, when you clicked on a client you could see a number next to "tax returns" for that entity. Now you have to click on the group to view, then click on Tax Returns to see who as an active tax return/activity statement.

    It would be helpful, that when you open a client, you can see if there are any active returns without having to click on "Tax Return"

    The new top toolbar, shows Active Jobs, but need it to show active Tax Returns.

  10. new XPM experience - Client contact now has a mandatory field to enter an email. Not all contacts have emails, so having to use an internal firm email just to be able to add someone who we only ring. Wasn't like this in the previous version of XPM. There are still clients out there who do not wanted to be contacted via email as they are in rural areas where it is unreliable or they only want to be called to collect so only a telephone is required.   11. When you have a departing group, you have to now click on the group, select the entity, click on the 3 dots and select Archive.
    This removes the entity from the group. You then have to start again and search the next entity from clients, and repeat the steps. as you cannot select back to take you back to the group.

  12. Currently, Practice Information (which contains key firm-wide settings, addresses, and details) appears to be missing a direct link in the main navigation menu (the left-hand sidebar).

    Issue: Users must navigate through multiple menus or settings screens to find and update core firm details.

    Request: Please add a clear, direct menu item for Practice Information to the main vertical menu bar for easy and immediate access.

    Implementing these changes would be a significant quality-of-life improvement for all XPM users. Thank you for considering this feature request!

  13. Following the update, we can no longer easily tell if we are viewing an archived client profile in Xero Practice Manager. Previously, there was an 'archived' tag however now the only way to tell is to check the Relationships section where 'archived' appears next to each related client name (so no way to tell at all if that client had no relationships). Not having this information clearly visible could lead to confusion as to the status of a client.

The removal of this marker in the latest XPM upgrade has a significant impact on administrative functions for client groups - we use it to indicate the main billing entity within large groups of clients and can now no longer see how the client prefers to be billed for their work without going into multiple client records to check if a billing group has been set

    Currently, in Xero, the branding theme determines the payment terms and payment method for invoices and bills. While this approach works for general branding purposes, it limits flexibility when managing diverse customer or supplier requirements.

    Problem Statement:
    Many businesses have contacts with unique payment arrangements that do not align with a single branding theme. For example:

    Certain customers may require extended payment terms (e.g., 60 days) while others operate on shorter cycles (e.g., 30 days).
    Suppliers may prefer specific payment methods (e.g., EFT, credit card) that differ from the default settings.

  16. The Client Name used to be clear and in the centre of the page before the new update. Now, I forget which client I am in, and it is easy to get it mixed up with the Referral Source.

  17. In the old xero version, you could click on the contact and edit the salutation.

    This option is no longer available.
    The only way to update is to exit client, go back to clients, select contacts, search contact then edit details.
    A lot of extra steps just to add or update a salutation after a contact has been created

  19. Previously, checkbox options were all visible, without clicking.

    Now I have to click and see the options (extra clicks, I don't want extra clicks).

    Previously, I could click Opt Out and it would opt out... now I have to uncheck 3 x boxes (extra clicks, I don't want extra clicks). If I wanted to opt in, I could uncheck Opt Out and it would opt in... now I have to check 3 x boxes (extra clicks, I don't want extra clicks).

    What is it about making the product more efficient, not less efficient, do you not understand?

  20. Last Friday I was working on adding individual clients to Groups with no issue. Today however there appears to be several issues wrong with the process now with the new GUI system.

    1. When I press the 'Add to group' button, it shows a scrollable list of Groups and an option to create a new Group. What has disappeared is the search bar where you could type in part or all of the Group's name in order to filter the scrollable Group list according to your search.
