  1. sequentially number transactions in order of creation

    Include a unique sequence number for each transaction on Xero in the order of creation.

    For someone who outsources the work to external accountants but need to review each transaction, tracking reviewed transactions is easy as each transaction has a unique sequence number. Tracking backdated transactions is also more efficient if the transactions are sequentially numbered in creation order

    This can indicate gaps in sequence to search for deleted transactions
