Hi team, while the status of this idea remains unchanged from our last post we did want to provide an update in the channel here.
As shared previously there's the possibility of exploring third-party apps like Google's High Contrast, which allows you to change the colour on your screen so it's easier to read.
Our Xero Accounting app is a bit of a different kettle of fish and for iOS users there is a dark mode available from the 'Appearance' option that you can navigate to from the 3 dot menu in the top right of the app screen.
Though we fully understand and appreciate needs for wanting dark mode, the ability to develop this requires resource from across all areas of product to implement in the web version. Providing dark mode is not on our current roadmap.

Hi community, thanks for all the energy and great conversation on this idea. We recognise the passion for making reporting in Xero better for your needs.
Wee understand that rebuilding report templates for each individual client or entity is time-consuming, and the current option of using Report Templates in Xero HQ mapping of the chart of accounts can be tricky to apply to different client files. However, we want to front foot that enabling the ability to transfer reports across practices or organisations isn't planned in the near term.
We'll continue to review and consider this idea in the longer term and if this work is picked up will be more than happy to share an update with you all, here.

Hi team, while not relevant to all areas of Xero atm. As we continue to develop the product you'll find there are many places where teams are beginning to add improvements to behaviours such as Xero remembering your last selection.
For example, in the Products and Services page(Inventory items) if you make a change to the number of items shown, and navigate away from the page when you return this selection is remembered. A couple of exceptions to this is when you change browsers, or if you're using incognito mode or a private browsing page.
We appreciate there are more places across Xero you'd like to see these behaviours and we'll keep you updated of more improvements here.

We look after a large number of businesses all within the same sector that use the same report layout. We have had to set up the custom reports for each one individually (which took several days) and also need to set them up again when a new client joins us (which can take the best part of an hour).
Surely setting up the ability to export and import custom accounts would be something that was easy to implement?
We have tried to set them up in Xero HQ but they want to map to the Demo Company's Chart of Accounts which is completely different to our own.
So maybe having an option to select which Chart of Accounts to use in there could be an alternative way of dealing with this issue.
