Hi everyone, we recognise the appetite in this idea and thank you for engaging with us on this through product ideas. We understand the efficiency being able to import Quotes to Xero could have for our customers, as well as the ease of use being able to export Quotes like you can invoices. However, with team resource focused elsewhere right now, we want to be honest that import and export of Quotes are not currently in the roadmap.

Right now, for the export of Quotes you could run the Receivable Invoice Details report - We've created a common format available fro the left panel to access 'All quote details'. If you'd like to further filter this you could add a Status filter. Once you Update, you'll find you can export this detail to PDF, Excel or Google Sheets.

We'll make sure to update everyone through the idea here if there's…

Needing to do repetitive tasks at the cell level of the table of a invoice, quote, PO or bill is slow and limited.

For example updating the sales account or tax rate of multiple lines one by one specially on long invoices/bills is unnecessarily tedious, time consuming and prone to mistake.
The request is to allow selecting multiple cells in a column and pasting in a value for all of them in bulk, like in a spreadsheet.

Another use case would be coping a list of SKUs from a spreadsheet and simply pasting them into an invoice/bill would be a game changer for many of us. Same with prices, discounts etc.

Even whole tables could be pasted into a invoice, quote, PO or bill.

The reality is that 99% percent of us use spreadsheets to structure our data makes this a killer feature to strongly consider Dev in implementing.

    xero on.

Hi everyone, we appreciate the restrictive nature of inventory(Products and Services) atm, and our product team have plans to explore adding capability to cater for negative inventory or back order of stock recorded in Xero.

While they have a few other priorities to get through first we'll move this idea to Under review and return to share more when this work picks up.

Hi team, we know some of our customers find using inventory(Products and Services) in Xero a little restrictive atm. Related to the idea here - Exploring the ability to record negative inventory, or back order of stock in Xero is in our product teams plans. They have a bits of work to get through first, but we'll shift this idea to Under review and keep you updated when this progresses.

Hi all, appreciate the interest in this idea and its importance to help reduce eye strain and headaches for improved user comfort, especially during extended usage.

We understand that this has been a longstanding request, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and dedication to making Xero an even better platform for all.

While this may be a function we look to explore in the long-term, we want to be upfront that this is not something we'll be developing in the near term due to the complexities involved and the need to prioritise other impactful updates. We know that this may be disappointing but hope that this provides some clarity.

In the meantime, as some users have mentioned you may be able to use a third-party app like Google's High Contrast, which allows you to change the colour on your screen to make it easier to read.
