Hi Simon, thanks for posting your idea. Giving businesses more control over the wording used in the new branding themes could help create a more tailored invoicing experience.
If you need complete control over invoice wording today, custom DOCX branding themes allow you to edit static labels and headings before uploading the template back into Xero. We appreciate that this isn't as convenient as being able to edit the wording directly within the new branding theme editor.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest from the community. If there are particular labels or phrases you'd like to customise, let us know as those examples will help us better understand the most valuable improvements.

Appreciate hearing how we could improve invoices for your use and to help items of your invoice stand out to customers, Lynda.
This isn't something we have direct plans of at present but we'll start to feel out the interest from others in community here and can let you know if there are any updates around this.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback and support this idea. We’ve taken another look here and, while we don’t have plans to develop DOCX further, we have released and are continuing to roll out our invoice editor. It’s replacing the Standard branding theme first, and from there will continue to evolve with more of the invoice customisation we know customers are looking for across things like logos, fonts and colours.
We know this won’t be the update some of you were hoping for, especially for those wanting more flexibility in how invoices look and feel. To help keep updates relevant to the specific changes being asked for, we’d really encourage you to add your vote to the ideas below, as they’re more closely related to those points:

Hi everyone, we wanted to share another update here. The ability to schedule and send a one-off invoice at a date and time that works best is now available to all organisations.
You can find this feature in the send window by clicking the dropdown arrow next to the Send email button.
As mentioned in my last update, we understand there’s strong interest in extending this functionality to repeating invoices as well. While this isn’t currently in the pipeline, it’s something our product team will closely consider as they shape the future of repeating invoices in Xero.

This would be so easy to implement. But I think the Xero dev team are more interested in implementing stuff people DON'T want or need.

Hi community, we really appreciate your feedback on this and hearing why you'd like to be able to change the organisation's name that's shown when sending invoices from Xero.
This is on our teams radar, and is something they may look into longer term however we want to be open that it's not in the current roadmap.
We'll continue to track and keep across the interest from our community, and if there's any news to share we'll update you on this, here.

"On our teams radar" bla bla bla. OMGoodness. So over Xero's BS. What does the dev team actually do all day?? Break stuff apparently. My word, fixing this wouldn't be hard. I'm a one-man dev company and I handle stuff more complex than this all the time.

Hi team, we appreciate the on-going support and feedback we're receiving on this idea and pleased to be able to share this update. Our product team are actively exploring how we can best solve for the needs raised here, although at this time are unable to provide any set timeframes.
They are very much aware of the appetite from our community on this, and as part of their exploration have reached out some users here as they gather insights.
For the time being we'll shift to In discovery and I'll return as soon as there is more on this to share.

100% agree Christopher. I also run an small IT company. Xero know. Xero don't care. Spreading awareness is all you can really do, and that's what you're doing. Thanks!

Yes, Jeffrey Epstein's post is spam. If the lack of response here wasn't already evidence that Xero is paying Zero attention, certainly spam posts being freely posted here is.

Yes, the ability to change the colour of elements in the email is web development 101 material and would not interfere with reliable rendering one iota.
"So invoice emails stay consistent"? Consistent with what? Xero's brand? The invoice isn't from Xero. It's MY brand that should be consistent. Ultimately, Xero's brand shouldn't be on the invoices at all.
