It's unbelievable to me that I can't at least set the colour or text of the "Pay Now" button...

Hi community, thanks for sharing your continued interest here. We appreciate the importance of having assurance that mail you send from Xero is being received, and that being able to send from your own company email would increase confidence in this process.
I can confirm this idea has been continually reviewed by our product teams, and being able to send from your own company email is on their radar. Currently there are other priorities, and platform work that requires their attention, before they can consider this more deeply.
When there is opportunity to pick this up, I will share any news with you all here.

Hey everyone, we've seen all your votes and comments, and we totally get it – not being able to schedule one-off invoices or pick specific send times is a real pain point. Your feedback makes it clear how much time it costs you and how it can affect your client relationships.
Right now, repeat invoice templates go some way to providing some automation. But we know that's not quite what you're asking for when it comes to those one-off invoices or more precise timing for all your emails.
The good news is, our product team is digging in to the work that'd be needed to develop a solution, and figuring out the best way to make this happen. While we can't give any promises just yet, please know that your feedback is a huge part of this discovery process. Keep those comments and votes coming!
We'll post another update here…

Lovely. Got the email yesterday to inform us that the price is going up another $8. Annual price increases but no new notable functionality and no attention to things customers need. I'm starting to look for alternatives.

@Hannah G, is there a progress list somewhere of requested features? There are a lot of frustrated customers here (including myself) and I expect for some of us, some of that frustration could be mitigated were we able to see progress. Even if it wasn't a feature request I had voted for, to know that the team was working on some requested feature(s) would be of help.

@Annie, yeah I agree - they are not the same thing. I hear you re "new" invoicing - what a waste of time that was!
Xero, are you paying attention?

Come on Xero, the earliest comment on this thread is 2012. As a web and software developer I do understand that sometimes things aren't as simple to implement as it may appear to an outsider, but you've implemented a whole bunch of unnecessary things like the new interface in the meantime. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say, "We really don't care about the new interface - the old interface was completely fine." You keep increasing the costs without adding new functionality. Slicker UI's aren't important. How about looking at some of these fairly basic feature requests instead?

@Derrick Murphy, correct, the situation at present is as follows:
You can create an invoice and set an "Issue date". At first glance, it appears that this would control when the invoice is "issued/sent". Instead, the "Issue date" merely controls the "Invoice Date" on the invoice. Moreover, when you click the "Approve & email" button, after making any adjustments to the editable email template, you click the "Send email" button, which sends the email and attached invoice immediately.

Xero's price keeps going up, but, like Robin, I too haven't seen Xero add anything of value. UI redesign? Meh. I don't care. The old interface was completely fine. But a feature like this would ACTUALLY be of value. What exactly are the dev team doing? Why does the price keep increasing?
I am also seriously considering jumping ship. It's getting to the point where I can no longer justify the cost.
I don't actually even know why I'm posting here. These threads have made no difference to the product...

@Kristi Barrow, it's hilarious eh. I have wondered the same thing many times...

Hi everyone, apologies we've not provided an update here before now. Over the past year there's been a lot of development throughout Sales, more centralised around the new invoicing experience. With the upgraded technology new invoicing is built on we've been able to begin developing the send experience, with improvements to customise and send invoices, and help you get paid faster.
Being able to automate the send of customer statements is high on our product teams radar, however we want to be transparent that this isn't planned in the short term. As we continue to develop and uplift throughout the Sales experience this is definitely an area the team will draw closer attention to, however with lots of different projects on the go we aren't able to bring focus to this right now.
I want to assure you we'll keep reviewing this idea, and will share as soon as there's…

Performed a "Remove & Redo" on a Stripe Transaction Fee. Bad move. Impossible to recreate this manually.

This would be so easy to implement. But I think the Xero dev team are more interested in implementing stuff people DON'T want or need.
