Sorry to hear you're not liking the refresh of the Files inbox, Felicity. The intention is to make managing and working with your files simpler and more efficient.
Just to confirm, when you say this has added extra clicks for you - would that be the need to go to the Archived tab to access a fioder you've moved a file to?

Previously, the inbox acted as a clear, actionable list of files needing attention - making workflow straightforward. Now, with the beta, you have to move files to categorised archives to have any chance of finding them again. But these archive files become harder to use the more you add. All this adds extra steps and makes it harder to keep track of which files are current or need action. One example of this when handling monthly statements from suppliers, which just need to be uploaded from library to their file tab, not attached to a transaction. This used to be easy - select from whatever is still in the inbox. Now selection has to be made from archive - the files beta means more manual organisation and more trawling through files.

Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.
As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).
We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.
That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.
In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…

Hi community, we appreciate the on-going interest this idea is receiving and the growing needs in the ability to customise documents that you send from Xero.
Right now, our position for this idea remains the same - we do have future plans to improve the branding experience across Xero, starting with invoicing which you can read more about.
As this experience continues to build out we'll make sure to share any updates for customising Remittance for everyone here.

I don't want to archive something I haven't dealt with before I can deal with it, and have it disappear into everything I have ever dropped into Xero over the last 11years :(
