    Hi everyone, a quick update on multi-authorisation for Payday Super.

    We recognise that multi-authorisation is a priority for many of you, particularly as Payday Super approaches and businesses review how they manage super payments in Xero.

    Our Product team is actively working on an enhanced workflow for this, which is on track for release next quarter.

    We’ll share more updates as soon as we have more to confirm.

    Burner phone is only half the solution. You would also need to have Xero access through a generic email address that multiple people have access to, which is not ideal from an audit and accountability perspective. That said, it is a possible work around if the operational requirements outweigh the need for strict user tracking.

    The fact that we are all talking about a work around for this, when it will be a legal requirement in less than a month, just shows how much the ball and chain are being dragged instead of being picked up and run with.

    Anyone who creates a platform, who thinks only one person should be able to do any one task, has clearly not been in the real world of administration! Administration is usually a team effort of multiple people having the ability to do any task required within that team.
    As we are probably all aware, super payments in the near future are moving towards having to be paid in line with the payrun it is associated with, which makes it even more critical to have more than one authoriser.
    In the real world, people get sick, and there are lots of circumstances, including deaths, that happen without notice, and currently Xero does not support real life circumstances.

    Hi there, as part of our ongoing review process, we’re in the process of updating our idea statuses to better track Xero Product Ideas.

    We’ve taken another look at this idea. Whilst we can see the value for payroll administrators to be able to view the payslip in PDF from within the Employee’s record, this update doesn’t currently fit into our product team’s road map. We’ll move this idea to a status of Accepted and will continue to review this in future planning.

    Hi community, you might've heard that we’re making changes to Global Pay Run to help you manage your payroll more effectively;

    - From 23 July 2025 Global Pay Run will become read-only. You'll still be able to see all your past payroll information, however you will not be able to process any new pay runs after this date.

    - Global Pay run will be retired after April 2026, at which point you'll no longer be able to access pay run.

    Considering that we'll retire this feature we want to front-foot that we have no plans (as requested in this idea) to develop Global Pay Run.

    If you're in AU, UK or NZ there's our Xero Payroll product that's been specifically tailored to your regions unique requirements. Find out more about the pricing plans this is available through on xero.com, or connect with specialists if you need a hand. Alternatively,…

    Why does xero not automatically make a spend money for wages when a pay run is posted/filed?
    I like to have transactions entered, and use the bank feed reconcile as just that... I like to see green, also because I am not the only one at the business who does this and the less room for error the better!
