Hi community, I'm pleased to share with you that the Product team are investigating the first part of this idea - to copy invoice data to a purchase order in new invoicing. There's a few other bits of work lined up before they get to this but we'll be sure to return with an update on progress once there's more news 📰

As for the second function raised here, when you raise an invoice from Projects that includes tasks, time entries or expenses, if you change the project field on new invoicing the connection with Projects will be removed. To correct this, you can either void/delete the invoice and recreate it from the project or manually mark the time entry/task/cost as invoiced.

Hello all. Although it is a pain not having this option in the dropdown as we were used to. There is another way you can copy your Invoice to Purchase Order. Its a few extra steps but it does work.

    1. Once you have Approved your Invoice go to the Awaiting Payments tab.
    2. Click the empty block next to the Invoice you want to Copy to Purchase Order.
    3. Click on the "Copy To" tab
    4. Click on Purchase Order

See attached for screenshots. Hope this helps until they put it on the Dropdown.

Hi team, we know some of our customers find using inventory(Products and Services) in Xero a little restrictive atm. Related to the idea here - Exploring the ability to record negative inventory, or back order of stock in Xero is in our product teams plans. They have a bits of work to get through first, but we'll shift this idea to Under review and keep you updated when this progresses.

Absolutely critical in my business. We also do not invoice everything out at the same time and therefore any kind of report even would suffice that provides information on what has not been invoiced out PER ACCEPTED QUOTE

We thank you all for sharing in the idea here, and understand there are many permissions that our Xero customers would like to provide on a more incremental basis. As you'll all know access to bank accounts is available to users with Adviser, Standard or limited access to those with Read Only roles - You can see more of the breakdown in our article here

With much of the teams resource drawn to work on the platform that'll continue to help us with the 'building on beautiful' experience for our customers we want to be upfront that there are no direct plans for altering the user permissions in this space just yet.

User roles and individual permissions within a bank account will be in the limelight once much of the platform upgrades are complete, but this is some way off atm. We'll return to share when there's any…
