Hi everyone, thanks for your support in the idea here. Reading over there are 2 separate requests in the one thread
- Ability to create a default email template for sending document packsÂ
- A text box on single documents in a packÂ
We have another idea that's been started around the default email template across here and I invite all those interested to add their votes.Â
For the thread here I've updated the title slightly for the Text box on individual documents so we can track the interest in each of these separately.Â

Hi Rebecca, thanks for taking the time to share your idea for adding an invoice directly into a Document Pack. We can see how this would streamline the process and save valuable time, removing the manual steps of downloading and re-uploading invoices when sending documents to your clients.

Hi Alexandra, thanks for sharing your idea about being able to schedule the time to send a document pack.
We can see how having more control over when document packs are sent would be useful in managing your client communications more effectively. While this idea is still new, it’s been reviewed by our community team and is now marked as Gaining Support.
At this stage, we’re keeping the idea open to see how much interest it gathers—so if others would find this helpful too, please feel free to add your vote or leave a comment to share how it would benefit your workflow.

Hi community, thanks for your support and sharing in the idea here. Diving into your comments, there are a few different ideas that we're picking up on within this one thread;
- ability to change the email address/contact of a sent pack
- ability to add additional documents to a sent pack, and
- the ability to edit metadata of a sent pack
For the first, we'd like to better understand what is driving the need to change the email address? is it down to a typo when entering it? or if its on a tax return, is it wrong on the client record etc?
Although it's not possible to add additional documents to a pack right now, creating and sending a new document pack is essentially the same - Is there any reason this isn't suitable?
Lastly, it'd be good to get more substance of how the ability to rename a pack…

Hi Briony, appreciate your sharing here! We can see how removing the duplicate address would make client profiles feel simpler and more streamlined. When you’re managing a large number of clients, every bit of clarity on the screen helps you focus on what matters most.
Having the same address listed twice can make profiles feel cluttered and, occasionally, create confusion if one gets updated and the other doesn’t. A cleaner view that only shows unique information would make it easier to scan and manage client details.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so our product teams can see how valuable a more streamlined client profile would be.

Hi team, we can see how having the Ready to Start list in Tax Manager to include ATO clients missing from XPM/Xero Tax could make cross checking your clients list more efficient. Using this list as a single source to clean up or add missed clients sounds like a practical way to reduce extra steps.
