Hi all, I'm pleased to let you know we've progressed work, and are now in the development phase for this request.
To be clear, we're not planning to allow "current date" to be inserted in reports at the client level, rather, we'll be changing the behaviour of Report Fields so they always stay connected, meaning the date will continue to automatically update.

The ability to insert a date that which literally update. Currently you can do this in reports for the current date and the year end but if this gets overwritten for example you are then stuck with having to update the date manually every time you want it to show the current date. This gets very frustrating when reports have been particularly customised and you can't simply import another report

Hi team, we appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of having decimal places visible in workpapers especially for tasks that require a high level of detail. I'm pleased to let you know that our product teams have paid close attention to the idea from our community here as they develop our new Workpapers solution, where all workpapers in the new solution will show 2 decimal places.
For those of you using the existing Workpapers solution, there's no immediate change. You can continue with your current workflow. Once the new solution becomes available, we'll share more information on how to access it.
We're beginning to roll this out to Partners starting with Australia, and will be expanding to other regions in early 2026.

Report Templates - when customising the ability to add dates that will automtically update would be benefical especially when the date doesn't update automatically and the only solution is to delete the report and start all over again with the template to customise it again which is a waste of time.
