Totally agree. When combining invoice payments to a supplier, employee, or receiving combined invoice payments from a customer, they are ALWAYS to/from a single contact. Indicating "multiple items" in the description line without identifying who is not helpful, and leads to additional and unnecessary mouse clicks. Please change to show "who" in the description.

When paying multiple items to the same entity, or receiving payment for multiple items from the same entity, why does the the Account Transactions view not show the name of the entity in the description? I cannot think of a scenario where one would be reconciling an account transaction line item that included more than one entity...Xero knows which entity has been paid or is paying as part of the reconciliation.

I'm kind of shocked that this needs to even be raised as an "idea". This should be core functionality. How am I otherwise meant to communicate to the customer that they have a credit on their account? I cannot print it or email it. This is kind of silly.

Hi team, thanks for sharing your interest in a payroll product for Canada. We don't have any plans in the near term for developing specific payroll products for other regions, and I will move this idea to Not planned.

If you've been using our Global Pay Run product you may have recently received communication of changes we're making that we believe will help you manage your payroll more effectively.

    • From 23 July 2025 Global Pay Run will become read-only. You'll still be able to see all your past payroll information, however you will not be able to process any new pay runs after this date.
    • Global Pay run will be retired after April 2026, at which point you'll no longer be able to access pay run.

If you need to process payroll there are app partners available through our Xero app store, we encourage you to review their…

Provide fields for the user (or Xero) to input annual maximums for payroll deductions, including Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Employment Insurance (EI), such that when an individual employee reaches or exceeds the maximum, Xero would provide a notification that the maximum has been exceeded. Canada Revenue Agency sets these thresholds annually.

Thanks everyone, we appreciate you sharing how the five-reminder limit can be restrictive and result in more manual follows ups from your business.

We’re pleased to update that this idea is moving forward as part of our Get paid without chasing work.

As part of this development, JAX will create personalised follow-up plans based on each customer’s payment history, using the right channel, timing and tone to help get you paid.

These multi-step plans go well beyond the current 5-reminder limit, with persistent chasing until payment.

We’ll share more as this feature lands so you can begin to make use.

Currently Xero limits the number of invoice reminders to five, which must be hard coded to the number of days before or after an invoice is due. Would be better if Xero would permit a frequency of sending reminders for past due invoices, i.e. weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc. If you have varying payment constructs with your clients, having only five reminder points is limiting. Especially for the slow paying clients.
