It's a tedious and time consuming process when old, messy charts of account which have been imported from old accounting systems, and are then archived in Xero, appear each time we want to customise report layouts. It would also be very useful to be able to see the current $$ values of accounts when customising reports. I would assume that the point of an archive is that you no longer see what you have archived, if you can still see it, the archiving process is pointless
