    this is the most basic of customer data that should be available in your reports for users. Other systems do have these reports

    Thank you for the engagement on this idea. We’ve listened closely, and know that being able to export full customer credit information including credit limits and associated credit terms would be a highly beneficial feature for you all that've voted.

    As mentioned in our previous update the Aged Receivables Summary report does provide some of the information requested, however we understand that this may not fully meet all your needs.

    Our Product team has reviewed this idea and we're updating the status to ‘Accepted’. This is an idea we’d like to develop, but isn’t currently on the roadmap. Please continue to add your comments and votes and if anything changes, we’ll make sure to post an update here.

    Yes I totally agree. This should be a basic report listing one of your most essential part of the business. Your Customers. Please implement ASAP.

    Hi community, I know it's been sometime since our last update and while we still don't have any plans for building a complete email system within Xero we wanted to share news of a new integration very much centered around needs expressed by some customers, here.

    Hi community, thanks for continuing to engage, and sharing your needs in adding more layers to your chart of accounts structure.

    We know especially for some of our US customers that this can sometimes be a show stopper in using of Xero.

    Right now, we do have a product team that have begun exploring the efforts that'd be required to implement a change of this nature - while we can't commit to any development at this point we'll share any progression with you all here. Thanks

    Hi all, we appreciate this idea has picked up a good amount of interest. This has all been shared with and considered by our product teams.

    As the Contacts screen interacts with many other parts of Xero, this work can not commence until the modernisation of other, related systems is complete.

    Due to this, we do not expect account numbers to be automatically generated for contacts to be delivered in the coming short-term.

    In the meantime however, we're keen to continue collecting feedback and votes on this idea, and we will provide an update here when there's more details to share.

    Other Accounting Systems have an auto generated ID field for creation of new contacts. Xero needs to catch up with the times and get this implemented ASAP

    Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your engagement and sharing how custom fields would be advantageous to you here.

    With lots of work for 'building on beautiful' underway atm, we want to be honest that custom fields is not planned in the near term.

    Some in the idea here, may find the recent addition of Notes that can be added within the Contact Details section of a contacts record useful in being able to record and view specific detail relative to a contact at present - More on this shared here

    We'll continue to evaluate the viability of largely voted ideas such as this when there is resource, however this unlikely in the next 12 months.

    Other Accounting Systems have opitons to create Custom Fields for contacts, customers, invoices, payments received, etc..Please implement ASAP

    Yes please. Also functionality to support Maximum Amount allowed for Direct Debit for each Customer. Clients in financial difficulties due to increasing living and day to day costs.
