Contacts - Send out bulk emails to suppliers and customers
Ability to send bulk emails to both suppliers and customers.
Purpose: Saves more time when businesses need to send emails to all their contacts. Especially when they need to announce specials or price increases.
Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate hearing where our users would like to see change across Xero. We also hear feedback through many other sources, and realistically while we’d love to, we simply cannot work on all things at once. Our product teams must make hard choices on where, and what to develop everyday, to continue delivering consistently high value to our customers.
That being said, there are no plans to make Xero a fully functioning email system for communicating with your contact base, like what’s being asked here. Focus for the team at present is needed on more critical projects, such as building on beautiful. There are many integrations available through our ecosystem, if you don’t find one specifically for sending out bulk emails to contacts, you could approach a custom-cloud integrator to build one for you at a fee.
I know this isn’t the news you’re hoping for, but we want to be transparent so you can make the best choices for your business.

This is ridiculous. I would never recommend Xero as they can't event do the most basic things, getting any help or support is painful. Wish I could go back to Sage

This should be a standard feature; I am appalled that this is something that users are asked to vote on. Especially coming up to the holiday period, this is a function that should be implemented immediately.
Please do better Xero - QBO had this function available years ago. -

Adding to my response below (If it isn't obvious I'm EXTREMELY ANGRY!!!) I need to send this group email YESTERDAY as I have to go overseas urgently..
I've copied an extract from the "support" (!) case:
Another option is to use the Send statements function in Contacts to send a statement and a customised email. This will only work if the desired contacts have an outstanding balance.
This won't work as most customers have zero current balance BUT it proves that the function exists but is DELIBERATELY blocked! Is this to force us to pay for an add on for the most BASIC function???

I have just read this thread as I have a current "support (!) case open on exactly this.
I am frankly appalled by the completely dismissive response from Xero on this thread!!!
This function is an obvious, simple, critical feature for the package and I cannot believe it isn't a standard feature (as it is in your competitors systems!).
This is clearly (another) case of letting graduates create software when they have ZERO experience in knowing what businesses need from the package!I'm still gobsmacked that something which should take minutes to complete (as it does in QBO) is going to take me hours of workarounds SIMPLY TO EMAIL MY CUSTOMERS!!!
I'll certainly be advising every business I have contact with NOT to switch to Xero!

We recently had a client who had a security breach and it would have been a quick and easy way to contact their customers to make them aware that bank details had not been changed.

It is imperative that this function be added. We require the ability to contact our customers and suppliers in a speedy manner. In this day and age we shouldn't have to go messing around with secondary Apps in order to something Xero should be equipped to do, especially with all the information already being stored in Xero.
This is a vital function that is required.

It is imperative that this function be added. We require the ability to advise our customers of price increases & product offers, not to mention Yearly Service Reminders in order for their warranty to be retained. Although only a small business we have over 1200 customers on Xero. It is not feasible to messing around with secondary Apps in order to something Xero should be equipped to do, especially considering that your fees go up yearly.
This is a vital function that is required.

Feature to Email all active customers
Sometimes there are price increases on certain products and we need to email the customers about it. Or maybe an update on the terms and agreements, or just to send out a Christmas greeting to all active customers.
I need to extract the file, filter it, and then send the email from Gmail
Would be great if we could have a feature that emails all customers from Xero directlyMaybe creating a filter on the sales account from the customer's profile would also help

Businesses need this to run efficiently as its very time consuming trying to get a print out of the customer data and creating an email to all - judging by the comments below it is definitely wanted by most of your customers

I support everyone's comments here. I find this unbelievable that this cannot be done. A feature should be added where one can select all suppliers or contacts and hit an email button to send off the message to all. It can 't be that difficult surely.

This seems like a basic feature and I would find it extremely helpful. Its a massive waste of time to have to export all contact data to outlook to send an email to all of our current clients about our new payment portal...

I am shocked to find this is not available on Xero, I need to update my businesses credit policy and now need to copy all contacts email to complete in a different system. Definitely disappointing and needs to be corrected ASAP.
