Hey everyone, we've been following the conversation closely and we want to acknowledge how important this is for many of you.
Atm, we’re on a long journey to provide more controls within Xero features that our customers need. Being such a broad idea that touches many areas of our platform, we’d like to encourage adding your votes to specific user permissions that matter most to you, such as:

Thanks for the engagement with this idea, everyone. This isn't possible atm however just to provide some options of being able to add a gratuity or tip to an existing invoice.
You could have a inventory item set up for this. When a customer provides you a tip you would then edit the invoice and add this item, entering quantity as 1 and tip amount as the unit price. This way you could have the account and tax rate auto entered.
Appreciate this may not suit all circumstance, but hopefully helps some here.
We don't have any current plans for this but will update you if there's any news.

As a service business tips are everything to the team. With out the ability to include a tip I have to look for alternate ways since xero doesnt implement the tip option. too bad

I would like to see a roll where someone can manage PRODUCTS only and. not have access to my businesses financials. It's pretty crazy that Xero makes your financials available to people who would be only hided to add products. for example they say they can see everything under the business tab - well that includes a financial snap shot . Impossible to hire anyone to mange products unless you want financials out in the open. There should ALWAYS be an option to restrict users to access your financial info,
