Invoice - Option for customers to add a tip

Thanks for the engagement with this idea, everyone. This isn't possible atm however just to provide some options of being able to add a gratuity or tip to an existing invoice.

You could have a inventory item set up for this. When a customer provides you a tip you would then edit the invoice and add this item, entering quantity as 1 and tip amount as the unit price. This way you could have the account and tax rate auto entered.

Appreciate this may not suit all circumstance, but hopefully helps some here.

We don't have any current plans for this but will update you if there's any news.

    can yo add a gratuity line so my client can add their own amount of gratuity to the payment

    Can't believe this is not already an option in Xero. We are leaving money on the table as a small caterer. I might be switching to another invoicing system just to get this.

    This is considered part of the pay for my workers, and is a very convenient way for them to get tipped in a time when people don't carry as much cash.

    This is a feature that:

    1) Should already be available

    2) Is offered by competitors

    3) Would be very easy to implement

    Like automatic receipts for paid invoices.

    As a service business tips are everything to the team. With out the ability to include a tip I have to look for alternate ways since xero doesnt implement the tip option. too bad

    I agree! As a service business who invoices after a project all my team looses out on tips.
