Appreciate where you're coming from with this idea, Kirsty.
Right now you could create a Contact Group, and have each related contact assigned to that contact group. Get what you're saying with the efficiency when having most of the same details - for now perhaps importing via csv would help create these in less time.
We also have an idea for the ability to copy a contact, and another for contact group statements that you might like to join and follow.
We'll start to get a feel of the interest for this type of feature here, and I'll let you know if there's any change planned.

Hi everyone, the demo company provides the ability to test and trial Xero features without impacting data in your live organisation. It's especially useful when you're getting started with the product or want to see how a feature works that you haven't used before.
That said, we understand not all our customers want or need access to the demo company. We appreciate your feedback on being able to hide or remove this here, and our product team are aware of the interest and feedback surrounding this - Both from this direct thread and the previous commentary and votes from the older forum where this originated.
While we don't have immediate plans, this is an area our team are looking to review. We will update you if there is any planned changes to this, through this idea.

Hi team, we appreciate all the feedback we've received from our customers about the Dashboard and how we could improve this for you.
As you may have seen or perhaps even have access to already - over the coming months we are releasing a new Xero Homepage that'll replace the existing Dashboard.
We've done lots of research and testing with our customers for the new homepage. You'll be able to customise to show which widgets you want, and it's built with updated technology so is much more responsive - adapting based on your device, screen size and zoom functions to show a maximum of 4 widgets side-by-side!
I'll update you again here when this is live to you all, and if you'd like to give it a go now - jump on into the demo co 😊

Hi all, we appreciate feedback we've received about improvements we could make to the Dashboard that'd better serve your needs. You may've heard that we have a new Homepage that'll replace the Dashboard and will be released to all customers over the next few months.
With updated technology the new Homepage is much more responsive and will adapt based on your device, screen size and zoom functions to show a maximum of 4 widgets side-by-side. 😊
I'll keep you looped in on when this is available to everyone, but in the meantime if you'd like to try it out jump into the demo company!

Many of our clients have multiple project specific groups, so that for a given client we might have "project A" and "project B" - individual projects for the client may have different payment terms, and will almost certainly have different specific email addresses that invoices need to go to - however they use the same entity.
We currently can't create a separate entity (as the invoice would then not be made out to the correct legal entity), and this means we then have to modify the addressee and payment details each time we invoice this client.
A few possibilities:
- add the ability to have a "team" underneath a client, which diverges from the standard client settings (with the ability to select a team as part of invoicing)
- add the ability to create invoice "project" settings - so that we can customise settings for a project, and then create invoices for a project rather than a client
- add the ability to separate the NAME of the client (legal name) from the XERO NAME (I believe this is the easiest option, just requires that the business the invoice addressed to comes from a field other than the name field so I can create duplicates for each project where we need them
