Hi community, just jumping in here to share that we have recently made an improvement to the groups feature in Xero HQ 🎉
Within a Client record, you can now see what groups they belong to, and add or remove them - check out this article for more information. Please note, this is not available as a report, but is available on a client by client basis.While the team have been really busy working on the single client record, they also hope to introduce a Groups list and group details (similar to what is currently available in XPM) to increase the ability to manage Groups within HQ. We’ll be sure to return & update you here when that’s available.

Yes agree - clients don't want our accountant staff names showing up when applying for leave...confusing and annoying for clients staff. Priority please!!!!

Thanks for the great discussion and all the votes on this idea. We know that without the ability to set specific leave approvers, it can be harder to keep governance clear, avoid self-approval and ensure requests go to the right person.
While we’re not planning to develop dedicated approval workflows in the near term, we want to share a tip that many have found useful. You can help streamline the process by guiding employees to select their direct manager from the approver list. While all payroll admins and leave approvers are listed, this step helps make sure requests reach the right person and keeps oversight clear.
Your feedback here is incredibly valuable for future planning and we’ll continue to keep an eye on this idea’s traction. We’ll keep it open for voting and will share any updates if plans change down the track.

When moved to new Xero HQ screen - the "star" was completely removed without some form of ability to recover this or even some "custom field" to record this. We used this feature and now have redo this information all again for each of our groups. Would even be happy if we could revert to old screen for time to recover and then transfer this to new group listing. Team not happy!!
