Hi everyone, we understand how frustrating it is when important emails like invoices are filtered or blocked, and how this affects customer trust and timeliness of engagement with your transactional communications. Thank you for continuing to share examples and highlighting the impact this has on your business.
We’ve made meaningful progress towards enabling email sending from your own domain. While progress is taking longer than we’d like, we can confirm that substantial backend work is underway. This work spans multiple interdependent teams across Xero, and there are still important steps we need to work through before we can release the capability to customers reliably.
As we continue to develop this capability, there are a few questions that would help our product teams ensure we’re solving the majority of our users’ needs in this space, with a reliable and secure solution.
We’d really appreciate your input on the following questions, either…

Hi team, being upfront user controlled column widths isn't something we have planned in the near term, however since this idea was initially raised there have been a few improvements that we thought worth highlighting here that may help.
Bills list experience has been upgraded and is now much more responsive to screen and devices sizes.
Along with this, you have more control over what columns are shown on the page, and the order these appear. If you click the 'Columns option on the left above the list you can select what data you'd like to show, and use the 6 dots on the left of each data point to drag and drop where you'd like these to appear on the table.
For now, we'll continue monitoring the interest this idea builds and share if there's news.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for continuing to share your feedback, we can see how helpful it would be to show the nominal account / account code directly in the Bills list, rather than needing to open each bill to check those details.
Because this idea has continued to come up over the years — including in a number of older, similar ideas that we’ve now merged into this one — we’re moving it to Gaining Support so we can bring that feedback together in one place, build clearer visibility, and better understand how many customers would benefit from it.
Please keep adding your votes and comments here — especially if you can share a little more about your workflow and which bill list views this matters most in. That extra context really helps our product team when reviewing ideas like this.
Thanks again for taking the time to raise…

Hey community, thank you for continuing to highlight how important multi-level approvals for paying bills can be for teams of all sizes. We’re currently building a customisable bill approval workflow into Xero that'll let admins set rules based on factors such as amount, supplier, account code or who submitted the bill. You’ll then be able to automatically route bills through selected approvers in sequential or parallel steps. ✨
Approvers will be able to take action in Xero, with a digital audit trail captured in history and notes to identify who approved a bill and when - Helping to keep the approval chain moving. You can read more about our direction in our update on The Long and Short of It.
I’ll come back to share as this begins to officially rollout.

Hi community, we value your engagement in product ideas here. As you may have seen we've recently rolled out a new send experience in new invoicing.
With this new side-by-side view you'll find you can also CC and BCC other emails 🎉
While this feature is contained to new invoicing atm, we'll look at applying a similar experience to other areas of Xero that you can send from in the future, so we'll keep you updated of any further developments for this here. Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for your on-going involvement in the idea here.
We understand many of our customers are trading internationally. While we haven't been able to deliver a solution as yet, this is still high on our radar.
Right now, depending on the country selected when setting up organisations will have different field options - Sort code in UK, BSB code in AU and Routing number in US. This explains the differences some in the conversation have mentioned. I appreciate it's not a solution but for the time being any extra detail (IBAN or any other banking detail) for the contact could be added as a note to the contacts record that can be looked up before making payments.
For our UK customers that have set up international bill payments - Though not direct from Contacts you can edit and save international payment details for a supplier through the flow…

Thank you for providing an update - this is something we have wanted for a very long time and is a critical step towards having Xero as a one solution platform.
1. Admin only, to keep the control in place.
2. We have multiple mailboxes on our domain but would want to send it from our accounts@domain.com email.
3. Yes, a different email for each different organisation to keep things very separate (as each organisation is a different legal entity).
We have different accounts emails for each organisation on each domain, it would be great that they have accounts@org1.com sending emails from org 1 and accounts@org2.com sending emails, chasers and invoices from org 2.
This is a very important issue for us and I'm sure many other users so would be helpful to have regular updates.
