Hi everyone, we understand how frustrating it is when important emails like invoices are filtered or blocked, and how this affects customer trust and timeliness of engagement with your transactional communications. Thank you for continuing to share examples and highlighting the impact this has on your business.
We’ve made meaningful progress towards enabling email sending from your own domain. While progress is taking longer than we’d like, we can confirm that substantial backend work is underway. This work spans multiple interdependent teams across Xero, and there are still important steps we need to work through before we can release the capability to customers reliably.
As we continue to develop this capability, there are a few questions that would help our product teams ensure we’re solving the majority of our users’ needs in this space, with a reliable and secure solution.

It seems that this App mentioned below can send follow-up emails, reminders etc, from your own Domain. But it does not seem to say anywhere in its descriptions that it sends the original invoice / purchase order / remittance from your own Domain.
This is what Xero needs to implement...Nigel Smith

Presently having to phone the recipient of each and every quote / invoice / purchase order to make sure they have received it and that it has not been junked. Having a bounce notification only lets you know that you got the address wrong, not that it arrived and got junked.

Hi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.

Xero's entire email handling is problematic. We have overcome this limitation (and several others) by assigning a new, single, dedicated email address within our company's mailbox to every single entity within Xero. All Xero emails then, via outlook rules, get received and sorted in our mailbox. Using the distribution list function within outlook we then "cleanse" and forward on the invoice / purchase order / remittance etc. As much as this sounds like a lot of work and not suitable for everyone's customer list, it has turned out to be much, much more efficient than trying to achieve anything similar within Xero. Added to that, all emails sent to customers are now from our own Domain and we have the sent history.
Looking forward to our Accountant signing off on a move to a platform that actually does the customer handling side properly!Nigel Smith

I could do this easier when using an Excel macro for quotes / invoices / purchase orders / remittances. Within Xero it is fraught with the possibility of mistakes.

Hi all, thank you for contributing to idea here. While our Inventory team have reviewed the idea for custom / tiered price lists in Xero, we want to be open that we do not have development planned for enabling more extensive Inventory management like this.
There are many Inventory apps that connect with Xero and offer these types of services and more - You can explore these on Xero App store. To be transparent we will update the status to not planned - If there is any change to this we will share with you here.

Please add this feature. Presently achieving the same end using an Excel macro outside of Xero (it is not that hard) but just results in double handling; inside and outside of Xero. If I had realised that a feature as basic as this was not available in Xero I would have resisted the move across. The quote/comment above "There are many Inventory apps that connect with Xero and offer these types of services and more" does not help. If there is an App with this feature, please advise, otherwise just implement this feature please.
I am a Xero user and even I junk emails from message-service@post.xero.com!
The manual work-arounds I use to ensure my invoices / orders / quotes get through to customers are starting to become too onerous to consider keeping Xero as a serious option.
