Hi community, we appreciate everyone's engagement here. To confirm we have intentions of developing the purchase order experience, however developing Projects into this does have some complexities and requires work across both purchase orders and projects to deliver.
Right now our initial focus is releasing the new purchase order experience to all users.
While we don't have a timeframe for assigning PO's to Projects at this stage, this is top of our product teams radar and we'll communicate here as soon as there's an update.

Hi Amy! appreciate you raising this here. We appreciate the need for having a due date or deadline on a task . While this feature is currently unavailable in Xero, we'll open this idea up for the community to add their votes. Cheers

Hi Cody, thanks for sharing such detailed feedback on progressive billing for fixed-price tasks. It’s really helpful to hear how this could support projects that run across multiple stages.

Yes, this comment for a project reference field, sand details is critical for our work- we also have - tender # or Purchase order# provided by the client for each project, having an option for this when placing a new project in our system would be a very valuable tool

Thanks for sharing how you use and price for projects, Rebecca.
Being open we don't have any planned changes for your idea here, however it'd be good to get a sense of interest from others in community that'd like to price projects in this manner.

Yes, this would be great for fixed price projects.
I would like to charge, end of month time/ hours spent on each fixed price/task of a project, then at the project close, be able to charge any remaining fixed price, without having to mess around and change things up manually
