Hi everyone, we're really grateful for your insight into how you use and apply sales tax when trading with customers. Our team have found this very valuable as we continue to develop auto sales tax across other areas of Xero.
With that in mind, our team have been working on auto sales tax within quotes and would love to get your feedback on it. Appreciate different businesses operate differently when setting up and approving deals. Some businesses specifically leave off detail from quotes for their own circumstance too.
Imagine this'd need to be an optional org setting, and not something we have plans for right now but we'll get a sense of the interest here.

Appreciate the feedback and interest through the idea here. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at this stage. Current focus is on new invoicing and improving the experience for our users as we edge closer to the retirement of classic invoicing.
We'll continue to keep our eyes on all sales flow ideas in the forums here and will let you know if there's any updates to share on this idea.

Hi all, we wanted to share an update for our US customers that sending invoices via SMS is now available! We have just released this functionality and you can use the same Xero Central article as shared in the last update to understand the in's & out's of how this works. After this release we will be working on delivering this to the UK and NZ markets. As mentioned initially this is limited to the Stripe payment service but we will also be expanding this other payment services down the line.

Quotes without the sales tax included are pretty much useless to me and my customers. I know nothing about the difficulties of implementing this change, but that it's included in invoices makes it seem reasonably doable without much trouble.
