Hi everyone, thanks for continuing to check in with us here.

Sending invoices via SMS is now available in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US.

Being open we don't have plans at this point for expanding this functionality to other regions.

Looking at the location of many users that have voted for this feature we'll shift this idea to Completed, however you are welcome to create a new idea if you'd like to see this feature in another region outside what's available.

Taking on board feedback from comments here I also wanted to surface a few other ideas we have for SMS;

Please do add your votes where appropriate so we can gauge the demand for each of these functionalities too.

    If you cannot make the text of the sms editable, could you please please please just add the work please to the existing text to make it politer.

    I have just seen the SMS feature to send invoices to customers (UK). I think it is brilliant and should also be extended to WhatsApp. However the text in the SMS is currently unusable for our business and would cause offence. It needs to be editable because I need to add the word 'please' and enquire whether they had previously received it. Currently it is far to demanding.

    Please allow the ability to send an invoice via SMS WITHOUT having to set up a payment service!

    Is there anything in the pipeline to be able to send statements via SMS?

    Our customers can have upward of 50 invoices at a time that they want copies of. Sending each invoice individually via SMS feels a bit clunky.

    Ability to send SMS messages via Xero either with integration with FYI if possible to record details of SMS sent. Currently we use SMS notify via Handisoft/Acess/Sage where you pay for SMS messages per message, but we have changed to Xero and it doesn't have this function.

    Why has the SMS functionality been made exclusive to Stripe users?

    There are alot of your customers that are unable to use Stripe as they're classified as a restricted business through Stripe.

    I know for certain it is a choice and not required technically, as it worked fine with no connection to Stripe during the beta. I will be looking elsewhere for accounting software if this is not rectified.

    Is it possible to send sales invoices or statements to a customers mobile number as a text message instead of an email address. I feel sure that so many end up in junk boxes.

    Liking the new feature to SMS Invoices (Beta testing in Australia).

    Being able to edit the standard wording that goes with the text would be a lot more useful though .

    We had this option pop up in one business, but it didn't give me the option to send an SMS it was ONLY going to send an SMS.

    I still want the option to email customers.

    Hi Kelly,

    We are using the beta SMS when sending invoices. Can you tell me if this were to go ahead will there be an extra cost to use SMS.
