  1. Thank you for delivering to keep the existing contact when copying an invoice. Now when you email the invoice the email address is not populated from the contact file. You have to go and look it up to send the copied invoice.

    Please refer to the contact details and pre-populate their contact email addresses.

    Sorry Lynne, It's a bit hard to troubleshoot and get the detail to understand why your contacts details like email aren't coming through to your copied invoice. I've just tested this with Draft and approved invoices being copied and the email of the contact was bought through each time as expected. I'd recommend raising this with our specialist through the Contact Xero Support option in Xero Central for closer inspection.

    Thanks for also checking on this, Olga - that message on defaults application is related to the Sales defaults saved against inventory items or the contacts record but doesn't apply to the contacts personal details. These should be applied when copying an invoice.

    To explain a little more - The reason defaults aren't automatically applied is because the line item fields will be prefilled with the information from the existing invoice that the new one is copied from.

  2. Give sales invoices the ability to create self-billing contractor bills - the same as billable expenses but for the the sales side, rather than the purchase side. I produce high vol royalties where the suppliers(producers) do not physically bill, but we need to raise the charges directly in line with the sales received. Massively labour intensive and could be fixed with this function.

    Hi everyone, to give a bit more detail from our status update a few months ago - The ability to copy to a bill is a feature that the team will be building into the new invoicing experience. They have a few items on their agenda and I want to be open that this is not planned to be delivered until after the sunset of classic invoicing. 

    For the time being, you'll find you can still copy to a new invoice, quote, purchase order or bill from the invoices list view. 

    You can get a bit more of an understanding of what's coming from our Xero central page. When there's more news on copy to a bill I'll share this, here. 

  3. It would be useful if copies of invoice reminders could be sent to myself, so we have evidence of the detail of the reminder that was sent.

    Also, if invoice reminders get a reply, such as the person no longer works at a company, if would be helpful if those responses could be directed to my email. Also would be useful if we could get Read receipts on them.

  4. See Inventory Item Cost when doing a Quote. I would find it helpful, when doing a quote to a customer, to see the cost of the inventory item I am quoting on. Of course, it should not appear in the final quote going to the client, but seeing it, would give me more confidence in doing my quote and make it a lot quicker. Thanks

Currently there is no easy way to review the on/off status of invoice reminders for Customer unless they have an outstanding balance, and even then this is only on screen and not exportable, so either a way to filter the Customer list for those which have invoice reminders turned off, or just a report that can be run with a column for the reminders status (on/off and number of reminder sent) would be useful for better credit control review.

    Please can you allow more than 5 reminders, we chase to strict deadlines so 5 isn't enough. Does there need to be a limit?

  7. We need to be able to send reminder letters through Xero but as and when, and to all customers, not just those that have fallen overdue since turning on the function. We have just migrated and have to go through each account and send an email outside of Xero to chase these so therefore no audit trail. This seems a key feature which is missing and easy to implement.

    Appreciate you raising the idea, Emma. To round back and confirm current functionality - If needing to send emails for invoices to multiple customers at once you could use the email feature from the contacts list view - See our Xero central article for detail on this. 

    If it's something you'd commonly do you may like this article in helping you set up email templates where you could create and save a custom template that you'd use when sending an overdue invoice. 

    It'd be good to hear if there is detail that this method doesn't help you resolve, that we can share back with our product team. 

  8. Add the tick box in Sales Overview > Invoices > ALL tab

    We want to bulk upload all invoices for the week in 1 file regardless of the status (paid/unpaid). We couldn't at the moment because of the absence of the tick boxes in the ALL tab.

    Rounding back on your idea here, Abigail - It'd be good to get more understanding of your business flow and why you'd be wanting to create invoices of another status. For example is here a specific reason you'd like to import invoices that have already been paid for? Could these potentially be entered as Receive monies or is there a reason they need to be raised in Xero once they've already been paid? TIA
