Hi community, thank you for all the engagement and we can see the growing interest in improvements to help simplify your view of information on the new Homepage and navigate important information and insights with more ease.
Right now, our team have a few pieces of work underway intended to help with some of the pain points that have been raised here these include:
- More options for the sizing of widgets so you can reduce these frames and better position this information on your screen
- More customisation of information within a widget like being able to remove visuals
- Improving the experience of moving widgets when editing the homepage to make it more obvious when dragging and dropping them to different positions on the page
We’ve also roadmapped further changes for later this year, once everyone is on the new experience. I’ll share more updates as we progress.

Hey everyone, we've been following the conversation closely and appreciate the invaluable feedback regarding expenses in Xero.
Whilst we can see how forwarding expenses to an email address would be useful for your staff, this is currently a functionality that is not on our product team’s roadmap. In line with our new Xero Product Idea status, we’ve now updated this to Not In Pipeline.
We’ll continue to monitor the support for this idea and will keep you updated with any future changes.

I know this is "not in pipeline". But it 100% should be to continue to be a modern expense app.
We NEED user email submissions for expenses. Most expenses come through email and right now there is no nice way to upload them fast. It's a bit of a joke really as it's such a common need. And I can see it's a huge number of users that have requested this too on another post. I'm sharing this so you can revisit this as I think it's crazy that this is not a priority. We may have to move to another provider if you don't value basic requirements that are needed 100%

100% agree. It's a huge pain to go one by one through expenses. We need a better way to approve and open next expense so it's a better workflow. Also need comments so you can ask your staff to add more detail or to tidy something up if needed before approval or denial.

This is a huge issue I think at the moment. If we need to make a note on an expenses for the submitter, it's not possible at the moment. Sometimes you might be approving an expensive, but need to give a comment, ideally this would be done in the expense.
just like when you decline you can add a comment, this needs to be added for approvals.
Ideally, having a decline requires more, button is good too, not an outright decline.

No idea how to submit a new feature request, so doing it hear. But on the homepage, a widget chat/note area that is for business owner and accounting management team to put in quick communication points. Like a mini notebook. Keeping it simple and useful to communicate on topics
