Thanks for sharing your idea here Terrence. Can appreciate how this would be useful for other users wanting to know which quotes or invoices have the items assigned to get a better idea. We'll move this idea to gain more support from the team. In the mean time feel free to share this with your friends and colleagues who might also benefit from this feature! Thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you.
In Classic Invoicing, there was a history and notes link between the quote and the invoice when the invoice was copied from the quote.
At the moment, that same history link isn’t available for quotes copied to invoices in the newer experience. We understand how helpful that audit trail is, especially when you need a clear record between the two transactions, so this is being moved to gaining support for the quote to invoice history workflow.
However, we are happy to say that this is still available in bills copied over from purchase orders , the link is still available above the history section

I would like this because it would help me track whether purchase orders were to fulfil special orders. Or if the special order item is part of a larger purchase order, it would be nice to see which line items were intended to fulfil a special order.
