Thanks for the added detail, everyone. It's good to be able to share this detail back with our teams.
Appreciate why Bank Rules won't help for cash accounts and where you don't have a bank feed coming into the account.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans for changing in the short-term. We'll leave the idea open for our product team to continue considering how we could improve efficiency in some of the situations you've described. If there are any updates we'll share this with you all here.

This is an important issue and is costing us time in creating work arounds. I just spoke with a CPAs office who is looking at which software to switch to. Oddly enough, this one aspect is the reason they're shying away from Xero. Journal entries are meant specifically for making adjustments and sometimes this includes the cash accounts. That's the nature of accounting. This rule against it is unnecessary and impedes the work flow.

I have property management clients. They accept checks and cashier's checks from tenants. They're frustrated they can't print a standard deposit ticket (like they could in QBD). Given the volume they receive, I can understand it. This is one of the reasons they want to move away from Xero and over to QBO. The ability to print a deposit ticket shouldn't require years of requests.
