  1. "Common Expenses" - fix product flaw.
    In Xero app, as follows:
    -Purchases
    - +
    -Add receipt
    -Tap:Categorise to an acct
    -acct list pops up with heading "Common expenses". 2 accts listed which I rarely use.
    PLEASE FIX : there is no way to edit the list of accts under the heading at the top "common expenses". See my screen shot

  2. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows partners to fill out and submit a Partnership Tax Return (PTR) without being a registered tax agent or accountant. However, TPR is currently only available in Xero Tax, which is a professional tax preparation software package designed specifically (and only) for registered tax agents and accountants.

    Can I request that (like BAS and TPAR) the PTR report and lodgement features be made available in the base Xero software?

  3. Add planned pay date automatically as the due date or add a field into the bill entry screen so that you dont have to go back and add it from the bill list view.

    Just a suggestion which i think lots of people would find helpful. It would give real time data from the bill screen and saves going into the bill list to add the planned payment date for the categories at the top to populate correctly.

  4. Can we please have a tag option of some sort that we can use for supplier ocntacts where we can mark if they are paid via manual batch payments, Direct Debits, Internationals or Credit Cards. Currently it is time consuming and tedious trying to navigate thousands of bills to pay where some are paid via direct debit or credit card and should not be batched for payments.   5. Please can we have the duplicate bills notifications fixed? Currently we are notified via the pop up that there are duplicate bills - which is great and very helpful! However, once we have clicked into it and voided the duplicates.. the same duplicate error message still pops up again despite us having just sorted. Requiring us to go back into it and click keep all, even though there is nothing we can do as we have already voided the duplicate and obviously would not want to void the active one, and with nothing that can be done to the voided…

  6. The main invoices view, where you can toggle between 'All', 'Draft', 'Awaiting Approval' etc. and search, only shows the GST inclusive total ('Due').
    Generally speaking in day-to-day business you only ever want/need the GST exclusive amount, but at the moment you have to individually open each invoice to get that amount, or run a report.
    And on an export of a view it only includes the GST inclusive and the GST amount as columns, but doesn't include the GST exclusive amount.

  7. Would like a pop out screen to view and edit transactions from the transaction report without having to arrow back to the report after each view/edit. Currently it is extremely time consuming with appx 7 back clicks to return to the report after each individual view/edit.

  9. we have recently set up our business so everyone is on xero, we would like people to be able to view profitability in projects, but not have the admin user.
    Giving people admin user allows them too much access, but we want them to be able to see profitability on the projects so they can keep track.
    is there a way we can give them access, without upgrading their user role??

  10. Save international payee details on the Xero contact page

    At the moment, we can only add international payee details when making a payment. It would be really helpful if we could store these details (like SWIFT code, routing number, IBAN, or account number) directly on the contact when setting them up.

    For example, if I’m regularly paying a supplier in the US or Europe, I’d like to save their international banking info the same way I can with a UK sort code and account number. This would save time and fit into my workflow when creating bills.

  12. I want to suggest removing currency columns from default transaction report in the template - not having to update to remove them all the time. You end up with a double up and its harder to read. Every time I look at a ledger I have to untick the currency source columns and update. Can we just have Debit and Credit in the base template please?

  16. Item price - to be able to change the item price on a set date and it update automatically on that date.
    When we give customers notice of a price change, sometimes this is months in advance. Now I know I could add a note to the item, but seriously, this would mean checking the notes for every item which would become very tiresome + time consuming.

  17. The Repeating Invoices reference number is cut off which make it difficult to very navigate and find the correct Repeating Invoice to edit.

    For invoices in other states (draft, pending approval, pending payment, etc.) the reference is properly wrapped which makes it easy to find what I need.

    For Repeating invoices however, I need to open one by one to find the right one because the reference is cut off. there is no reason to cut off the majority of the reference - at least help wrap the text so that all the reference shows. It is especially cumbersome when…

  18. In the iOS app: Create an Invoice. When you are selecting the customer to invoice: Who is it for?

    Once you tap this field, a search window appears and you start typing customer name to find.

  19. Products & Services - When creating a new item code, and saving the amount to $0.00 so that amount can be entered when creating invoices, it would be great if draft invoices rettained all the information that populates - such as description, account code and tax rate.

    At present I am having difficulty saving a new item under Producst & Services with $0.00. Then when creating an invoice for my client to complete, manually entering $0.00 and saving, he opens the draft invoice and the item code is still visible but nothing else.

  20. I see that in Aus the starter plans in Xero are going up by 7-12% again this year (July 2025).

    Part of the sales pitch appears to be access to analytics. Subscribers on this level are mum and dad businesses, maybe an employee or two (as restricted by Xero).

    They need a simple system they can use, they don't need or want sophisticated analytics systems. There's nothing in their accounts to analyse. They barely have time or inclination to do a bank rec.
