Dashboard - Track Quotes
Ability to track quotes on the Dashboard
Purpose: This would allow for quick access to do quoting work
Thanks for joining and following in the idea here, everyone. While early exploration has been done in this area, we want to be upfront that we don't have any short term plans for developing the ability to track quotes on the dashboard.
At present, you may find search in the navigation a quick way to navigate to all quotes by typing 'q'.
If there is any change planned in this space we'll be sure to update you on this.

Quotes are just as important as invoices with regards to potential income and forecasting. A simple number of quotes and total quoted value would be sufficient to start off with, then you could develop more detail depending on the uptake of the widget?

This would be very helpful, would really benefit us tracking the rejected quotes.

Super helpful especially seeing approved quotations.

It would be very useful to have this feature on the dashboard, it would make sense for it to be in this layout as it follows on nicely from the Sales Invoices and bills.

It really makes sense to see the value of outstanding quotations on the dashboard. To understand where we are as a business I need to see what is owed, what is to be paid and the possible revenue available by converting quotes - please please add this.

Hello,
It would be very helpful to see quotes on the Dashboard in between budget and sales. This would allow follow up on quotes by account to drive activity re: budgets.
Hope that makes sense. I would also like to see Xero have an internal CRM feature one day. -

The ability to have quotes on dashboard is critical. I have a client who is switching from QB to Xero and sends multiple quotes a day. Being able to quickly view and track from the dashboard is a key daily task.
Is there any update on when this function will be available?

Agree with this, and also the need for the dashboard to be more customisable. There should be a range of key metrics that users can select to view on their dashboard. All the data is being captured somewhere in Xero.
We use quotes as our leads/sales pipeline, so we need to know values of orders that are coming through each month. Not ideal to have to wait until they are an approved invoice to be able to see the total value. -

I believe it's critical to see the flow of the Business on the Dashboard.
It's not just to save time toggling to Quotes, but to see the value of quotes sent but not approved, and then also the Approved Quotes.
The Invoices owing and Bills to pay show the after effect of works, but for my business management, I'm very interested in seeing the inflow.
I would love to see a Pane for Sent Invoices that have not been accepted yet, and a Pane for Accepted Quotes so I can see how much Work in Hand I have in front of me.Joe D

I'd love to see this added. Save so much time navigating to quotes. The ability to follow up quotes would be easier as you'd see it when logging in and have it in right in front of you. I find this frustrating that you can add this to the dashboard - and that the idea has been around since 2015!! Quoting has an important part to play in many businesses including mine - making this easier and more visable is an important feature.

Xero , although very user friendly and easy to master is lagging in a few areas that are now readily available on other platforms. One platform has 24 widgets to view on a dashboard. Xero has all the information and the same widgets hidden at the back-end of invoices and bills etc. Its time to move those widgets to the actual opening page of Xero. Also, platform number 2 has options to enable the business owner to view one set of widgets on a dashboard whilst his accountant is able to view a totally different set of widgets on his side to enable him to provide his client with more accurate management advice. So its not only the quotes but the whole dashboard of Xero that needs an upgrade.

Any update on this feature being added?

Quotes should be able to be viewed on the dashboard to keep an eye on Expiry dates and how many are still outstanding.

This would be an excellent enhancement. I asked about this when I first started using Xero a couple of years ago. I am always looking at my open quotes as this is a part of forecasting my income and workload.
Please look at putting this in.

Dashboard Quote Summary
It is suggested to include a summary similar to "Invoices owed to you" in the Dashboard.
The summary can include a link to create a new quote, just like creating a new invoice. Also there can be four amounts:
# Draft Quotes Value
# Sent Quotes Value
# Accepted Quotes Value
# Declined Quotes ValueRespectively these would indicate Opportunities, Forecast, Current work load, and work lost.
The bar chart can show the number of quotes sent for a time period. It can be stacked so that the amount of these quotes that end up being accepted is coloured differently.
This summary could be used to help understand the sales performance side of the business and also to get a quick feel for what the future holds in terms of ability to invoice.
The bottom line, like the invoices summary, can be a tally of how many quotes were accepted out of the number that were sent in the last month/quarter/year. The time period should be configurable because some businesses send out many quotes per week and others operate on a few big quotes per quarter.

It would be useful if there was a section on the dashboard for quotes just like invoices so that we can see current accepted work (accepted quotes), projected work (sent quotes) and potential work (draft quotes).
