Hi community, I'm pleased to share with you that the Product team are investigating the first part of this idea - to copy invoice data to a purchase order in new invoicing. There's a few other bits of work lined up before they get to this but we'll be sure to return with an update on progress once there's more news 📰
As for the second function raised here, when you raise an invoice from Projects that includes tasks, time entries or expenses, if you change the project field on new invoicing the connection with Projects will be removed. To correct this, you can either void/delete the invoice and recreate it from the project or manually mark the time entry/task/cost as invoiced.

We appreciate wanting to see more rapid movement, everyone. Having done a lot of exploration into this area our team have a good handle on the needs to solve this, however we want to be honest that development will be some time away with the team currently focused on improving bills list views and updating add/edit bill pages. For the time being to keep you up to date we're going to move this idea back to Submitted until more active work takes place for this.
I can assure you this idea is the best place to be leaving feedback for this feature, and Xero Product Ideas as a whole is the best place to be sharing where you'd like to see change across Xero products. As a community team we're advocating on your behalf constantly to see where ideas can be worked on, and this site is where our product…

Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback on the show/hide fields option. As you may have seen in other updates we're working on a new line item grid that will encompass a few enhancements we know our customers want to see, and will also include an improvement to the behaviour of the show/hide fields so the options you select will be retained. I'll come back to confirm when this is released.

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback on this here. Through testing we found that majority of our customers would Approve and email an invoice at once, which is why this was developed as the default in new invoicing. That said we appreciate others would like a different action as their primary option.
While we don't have direct plans for adding the ability to set a default for this action, we're listening to your feedback and looking into how we can improve efficiency and speed things up for you when using new invoicing through the use of keyboard shortcuts. We'll share more news when we've confirmed what this shortcut looks like and are closer to providing this to you all.

Hi everyone, we thank you for your support on the idea here. We understand the needs of being able to attach documents when sending Purchase Orders, however we want to be transparent that this is not planned work at this time.
To begin, purchase orders need an update and this will be a focus for the team before enhancements like this can be considered. We will keep you updated of any related changes, here.

Hi all 👋 thanks for sharing this idea and contributing your feedback on how it would help save time and reduce delivery errors. This has all been sent to and considered by our product teams.
I wanted to jump in here to share that this is a feature that our team are looking to develop in Purchase Orders in the long term - there are a few other pieces of work lined up before. We'll shift to Under review and keep you updated of any progress, here.
In the meantime, one way to make the physical address the default delivery address when creating purchases orders is by using a Custom DOCX branding theme, and either use the relevant merge fields, or even enter the default address in plain text on the template. You might then have a separate ‘normal’ theme if you want some orders to go to the Postal…

Appreciate there are more settings that you'd like to expand the use of the Credit Limit for, Joyce.
In lieu of change in the direct feature atm, one way to prevent further invoices from being raised for a contact could be to set their limit to the amount of the invoice due which would stop all future invoices for the contact being raised.
Annalee Boakes supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Annalee Boakes commentedAdd an option within the contact settings to block any new invoices being created if their account is overdue (by X days).
At the moment you can add a credit limit and block new invoices when this limit is reached. This is good, but we operate with days overdue rather than amounts on credit.
Add a similar function to have a checkbox to tick if you would like to block new invoices for specified contacts if their account is overdue (by X days if possible).

An error occurred while saving the comment Annalee Boakes commentedAgree with this. When you add an existing contact to a quote, allow it to be hovered over to view their contact details, and then the hyperlink to take you to their contact if necessary.
Once a quote has been 'saved' or 'sent', allow the contact details to be either edited (if its an existing contact), or added (if its a new contact).
See attached snips of how you can currently do it when adding a new invoice. -

Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.
I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.
When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being…

Thanks for joining and following in the idea here, everyone. While early exploration has been done in this area, we want to be upfront that we don't have any short term plans for developing the ability to track quotes on the dashboard.
At present, you may find search in the navigation a quick way to navigate to all quotes by typing 'q'.
If there is any change planned in this space we'll be sure to update you on this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Annalee Boakes commentedAgree with this, and also the need for the dashboard to be more customisable. There should be a range of key metrics that users can select to view on their dashboard. All the data is being captured somewhere in Xero.
We use quotes as our leads/sales pipeline, so we need to know values of orders that are coming through each month. Not ideal to have to wait until they are an approved invoice to be able to see the total value.Annalee Boakes supported this idea · -

Hi community, we understand your needs in this feature and want to assure you were taking on board all your feedback.
As many of you accustom to this idea will know, multiple addresses requires a complex solution. It's been something we’ve been moving towards for some time and we’ve done a lot of back end work that will allow us to bring it to you in the future.
We have 12 different products within Xero that rely on contact data, as well as many of our app partners. This means that contacts need to seamlessly flow across technology, products and all connections on Xero. And that’s exactly what we’ve been working on.
One of the reasons we announced the retirement of classic invoicing is because many of the features being asked for, just can’t be brought into classic invoicing. The old technology has too many technology limitations to enable this.…

Agree with this idea, and would be better to be able to change the default 'approve' option because we would prefer the approve and add another button as default.
Same goes for the 'save' options on new invoicing.
Also in quotes - change the default 'save' and 'send' options.
