Quote - Ability to have quote reminder
Add feature to automatically follow up on quotes / send quote reminder *days before expiry or *days after quote issued — as there is with invoices. This feature comes standard with most other quoting interfaces.
Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.
I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.
When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being able to send reminders we'll be happy to share and update you all of this, here.

I previously voted for this feature, but now I'm not so sure. One of the main reasons I left Quickbooks Online is that my emails often didn't get through because so many systems classified QBO emails as spam. This seems to be happening more and more with Xero too. The root cause is users receiving Xero quotes and invoices reporting them as spam. Sometimes this happens due to scammers/spammers sending fake/unsolicited invoices, but it can also happen when users get annoyed by unwanted "reminders". I think allowing one automatic quote reminder is reasonable. But beyond that, the recipient probably just doesn't want to buy. If a business wants to badger me with more than one quote reminder, it seems fair that they also have to log in and press send and hopefully write a message.

Hey Xero sounds like you’ve gone rogue on this complex and revolutionary idea of quote reminders. I won’t add to the frustration of my fellow peers, instead I’ll come to you with solutions.
Please follow these steps:
> Go to Google search > type ‘chat gpt’ > follow prompts > type ‘write me a code for quote reminders’ > enter > ctrl c + cntrl v > go to google search > type ‘xero’ > click 5 stars > leave a self-assessment review along the lines of ‘prompt solution focused customer service, will highly recommend’ > submit. You’re welcome 😁

I second everything Elias just posted.
I will add that it is clear to me that Xero only caters to their real customers... the integrated app developers. They don't want to add features, they want us to pay for additional services from which they get their cut. It is better for Xero if they offer basic core services like inventory to attract new customers, but then make sure it is basically unusable so that we have to go out and buy another services that is far more than we need, but functional.
Prove me wrong Xero. Update just a handful of these features your customers have been begging you for.
quote reminders
being able to upload inventory as untracked so I don't have to do it manually
being able to hide unit costs BUT keep the unit quantities in a standard form
bundling products (no, this is not the same as a work order)

Subject: Urgent Call for Action: Stop Ignoring Your Customers
Hi everyone,
I completely understand the importance of requesting updates, but once again, we’re met with the same robotic response: "Quote reminders are on the team's radar," the same hollow promise that has been recycled time and again.
Here’s the reality—one day, like it always does in business, a competitor will emerge with the same features you currently offer, and suddenly, you’ll care. Unfortunately, by then, it will be too late.
Right now, I feel like a captive customer, staying only because I’m unaware of any viable alternatives to what Xero provides. Instead of using this as an opportunity to stay ahead of the competition, you seem content to rest on your laurels, while your paying customers are left unheard. You’re dancing on the edge, assuming you’ll always be the leader, but that’s a dangerous gamble.
Trust me—after 40 years in business, I’ve seen it happen. Customers, including myself, will bolt the moment a new option arises, and when that happens, no amount of price cuts will bring us back.
This is a wake-up call, Xero. Start listening to your customers now, before it’s too late.
Best regards,

I am voting here to help all of us users of xero, although I have absolutely NO HOPES that xero as a company will care about it !
I have been using xero since 2016 and to my perception they only do things they want !! to my experience they could not care less
Did you notice that as time goes they make it even more difficult to reach the support hiding the links on how to reach them, they make it even harder then amazon they are champs on this what a pity

this is a joke! Xero just implemented changes to invoicing that seem to have zero benfefits or additional functions (only appearance actually looks worse) but has customers waiting years for this simple quote remnder setting. i mean the coding already exists for invoicing - should be as easy implementation?

Paidnice (a Xero Certified App and Staff Pick) can send Quote Reminders before they expire: https://www.paidnice.com/quote-reminders

We NEED this! Surely as easy as the invoice reminders??

Oh silly me. Just noticed that Dana's post was 2022. We are talking to ourselves here. Xero aren't listening.

Dana. Hello. That response is so far short of good enough. There are already + 420 reasons on why we need it. Tell us why you haven't got this on your development pipeline. We NEED it. We don't want to keep telling you we need it. Suggestion - go ask your own commercial team if they'd like quote reminders. Or do they not use Xero?

Hey Xero, I have to ask why the hesitancy to allow this? Clearly it's a much wanted feature. It's been years that people have been requesting it, you have over 420 votes and countless reasons why it's a much needed feature. It already exists on the invoicing side so why not on the quoting side. You would make many businesses happy and allow them to save alot of time. Currently quote follow ups is a manual process but we have to do it as some of these quote convert and help us with our income. It's a standard feature with your competitors. So I also ask, is it worth loosing existing clients and spending more on converting new clients when you could make and keep your existing ones happy to stay?? You start working on requests with much fewer votes and this is such an easy add. It makes no sense

xero should review all the ïdeas relating to quote reminders and merge together.
this is a very impoirtant feature that is missing!

Noah Phillips commented
It would be great if Xero could send out a quote reminder similar to an invoice payment reminder.

Supporting this entirely or even enhance the API layer to create additional triggers so that other 3rd party automation tools i.e. Zapier, to make the necessary workflows for them if don't have the time.

In support, hope gets implemented soon.

This should be looked at immediately. In support of this.

Over 2 years and 404 votes. Do any of our suggestions ever get implemented or are we just here to generate ideas for the third party extensions? This has to be the easiest idea to implement and it has a lot of people asking for it.

This feature has to happen, it would be a game changer. I am debating changing to another provider purley because they have this feature

Edward Sillars commented
Please can we get this implamented? It would really help myself and others in running our businesses.

This would be a great feature and assist us in efficiently managing quotes. You could replicate the 'Invoice' reminder feature.
