Purpose: It will help the accountant's work easier in reconciling their client’s account.

It would save so much time to have cash coding on every clients file! It's such a time saver!

I just upgraded a clients plan only to find that on a partner plan cash coding is available then on a starter plan its taken away? It should really be included on every plan!

It can be very painful having to go through the reconcile screen when there are hundreds of transactions - it's a very basic feature, it should be on the Starter plan.

I think cash coding should be available for every Xero package. It will be most advantageous for Accountants as it will save bookkeeping time. If not, there's no point to use Xero. I won't recommend clients to use xero anymore

It is not worth paying another $30 per month $360 per year just for this function All Xero has to do is enable the function, and it's not going to cost Xero anything.

This is critical, many starter plan clients switch to Xero part way through the year and need to catch up months of bookkeeping.
I wont recommend they switch to Xero mid year without this feature.

Sometimes I am left with a dilemma of do I downgrade my client to cashbook for a few days just so that I can cash code the bank! Lets face it, I am not going to upgrade and incur costs.
There is absolutely no reason to exclude this feature from this plan, when it is available on every other one, including ledger.

Cash coding needs to be added to the starter plan at least for the Adviser role.
I literally hate putting any clients on the Starter plan because this cash coding is missing. I have told some clients to stick to the cashbook version and to do their invoices on excel. -

Totally agree, it should be part of the Starter plan. I hate recommending Starter to anyone purely because we can't cash code, as an accountant or bookkeeper this is very important. When there's hundreds of transactions uncoded it becomes such a time waster and not worth the money. Unbelievable we can't cash code in the Starter plan really.

How about including "Cash Coding" feature in the Starter plan. That would make our lives a little easier.

This is a blatant money grab!! Disgraceful that it's not automatic, especially as the free trial that my client had made no indication that it would not be available on the starter plan. She has no payroll currently and does not need a higher subscription. I am really disgusted and embarrassed about this.

As accountants who reconcile many of our clients accounts, not having cash coding for the starter is extremely frustrating, especially when there's over 500 transactions to reconcile. Not cost effective at all, at least have an option where accountants can cash code even if the client can't please.

Xero Admin commented
As advisers, we set clients up on Xero but often still have to finalise previous accounting periods. Now, having to do this without cash coding (or using an annoying temporary workaround that increases the subscription cost) is extremely frustrating. Please restore cash coding for accounting partners.
