Thanks for the feedback and great to hear the use you find in repeat templates in Xero.
While there's no way to bulk update templates atm, you may find updating your templates through export & import of invoices more helps quicken things up?
You could export invoices that have been generated from your template to CSV, update the amounts in the exported file, and then re-import.
This will create 'Draft' invoices in your Xero org from which you can create a Repeat template and then delete the draft. 🙂

The admin involved in handling subscriptions on your behalf is increasing all the time - please help us to do this efficiently! An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrin Paget commentedI totally agree, either a bulk update function or the ability to update item prices and apply the change across repeating invoices. We have around 1500 repeating monthly invoices that go out, and it take hours to amend pricing.
Your idea of exporting & importing then creating repeating invoices from a draft will not save time.Kerrin Paget supported this idea · -

Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.
As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).
We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.
That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.
In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…

Hi everyone, we appreciate all your feedback on how we could evolve roles for customers using Xero. As you can see through the ideas on the platform, there are a wide range of combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. As user roles impact all areas of the product, there are many considerations we must factor in when assessing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.
We’re beginning to conduct research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. Front footing this, the discovery of this work will be long winded and there will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.
We’d like to invite you, our community to be part of this research and discovery. This may involve interviews…Kerrin Paget supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Kerrin Paget commentedgiven that Xero have announced yet another price increase to their business packages cash coding should be included with ALL the business subscriptions. We have many clients for whom we code the bank transactions and using the reconciliation screen is very inefficient - they don't need all the functionality of the standard subscription but have a few invoices & bills each month.

Thanks for staying connected with us here in product ideas, team. As many will have noticed, our new Fixed Assets experience has been released to most users now. I'm happy to share that development for attaching a file to Fixed Assets in this new experience is moving along. We're hoping to have this delivered to everyone over the coming weeks, and I'll share more detail once it's here in where and how you can atta h a file to an asset 🙂
As this feature is limited to the new experience, if you have an AU business that uses pooling and is still working with the older version of Fixed Assets this feature won't be available until we move you across to the new experience.

As Xero are putting their prices up yet again, this is now critical. We have thousands of clients who subscribe to Xero through us so I will have thousands of repeating invoices to change to reflect the price increase. This is hours of work and should be able to be done more efficiently with changing the item prices and pushing those through to the invoices.
Please do not suggest import and export, it takes just as long to do this as we have to create repeating invoices and delete the drafts. Not a workable solution with the number of invoices we handle.
Please Xero, put priority on this!
