Thanks for the feedback and great to hear the use you find in repeat templates in Xero.

While there's no way to bulk update templates atm, you may find updating your templates through export & import of invoices more helps quicken things up?

You could export invoices that have been generated from your template to CSV, update the amounts in the exported file, and then re-import

This will create 'Draft' invoices in your Xero org from which you can create a Repeat template and then delete the draft. 🙂

As Xero are putting their prices up yet again, this is now critical. We have thousands of clients who subscribe to Xero through us so I will have thousands of repeating invoices to change to reflect the price increase. This is hours of work and should be able to be done more efficiently with changing the item prices and pushing those through to the invoices.
Please do not suggest import and export, it takes just as long to do this as we have to create repeating invoices and delete the drafts. Not a workable solution with the number of invoices we handle.
Please Xero, put priority on this!

Unfortunately using the export/import function is still slow, we really need a way of easily updating pricing with new unit prices for products, particularly in light of yet another price increase announced from Xero today.
The admin involved in handling subscriptions on your behalf is increasing all the time - please help us to do this efficiently!

I totally agree, either a bulk update function or the ability to update item prices and apply the change across repeating invoices. We have around 1500 repeating monthly invoices that go out, and it take hours to amend pricing.
Your idea of exporting & importing then creating repeating invoices from a draft will not save time.

Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.

As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).

We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.

That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.

In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…

Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to manage part year returns through Xero Tax for NZ. This isn't something we have in our plans at present.

I can assure you our team are aware of the interest on this idea and if there's any progress we'll let you know through the idea here.

Hi everyone, we appreciate all your feedback on how we could evolve roles for customers using Xero. As you can see through the ideas on the platform, there are a wide range of combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. As user roles impact all areas of the product, there are many considerations we must factor in when assessing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.
We’re beginning to conduct research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. Front footing this, the discovery of this work will be long winded and there will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.
We’d like to invite you, our community to be part of this research and discovery. This may involve interviews…

This can be entered in the losses area of the tax statement, but does not pull into the next years tax return so is a complete waste of time.
Normal losses pull through but these rental ones do not.
    Please fix this issue.
These and normal losses should pull through from IRD - we shouldn't have to enter these manually as we currently do.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback here. It’s great to see so much engagement on this idea, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

We understand you’re looking for the ability to create your own report code structures within Xero that'd allow for more detailed and flexible reporting, helping to automate processes and provide clearer insights for your clients.

As noted by others in the idea, you can currently leverage the existing report code mapping functionality. While it doesn't allow for entirely new report codes, you can map multiple chart of account codes to the same report codes to group them for reporting.

To do this in bulk, you can also export your chart of accounts, apply the mapping in a CSV, and then re-import it

We see the value in providing more customisation in reporting. Right now we have some more codes…

given that Xero have announced yet another price increase to their business packages cash coding should be included with ALL the business subscriptions. We have many clients for whom we code the bank transactions and using the reconciliation screen is very inefficient - they don't need all the functionality of the standard subscription but have a few invoices & bills each month.
