Quotes - Copy partial Quote to an Invoice

Ability to copy some part of quotes into invoice.

Purpose: Users’ can easily send an invoice for the work that clients/customers have done from what’s written on the quote.

    this is currently a time consuming process for us as we invoice over periods of time and it doesn't seem right to have to keep a manual spreadhseet for ease of review - I am conscious that you can see invoice numbers in history

    Additional columns on the quotes page which show how much is left to invoice on each quote / what has been invoiced - we used to use Quickbooks and that system would not let you 'over invoice' on a quote unless you had an exception but either way over invoicing was a conscious decision

    It is crazy that this feature still does not exist. It should then be able to link back to the original quote, so that you have a progress report to refer back to and to send to clients if they want an update. After 6 years as loyal customers, this issue alone has forced us to look elsewhere

    We provide professional services in staging. After we quote the job, we will invoice in stages depend on job done. Currently xero does not link invoice to the quote. So i have to manually delete items/services previously invoiced to create new invoice.
    If all invoices linked with original quote, then it would be much better to follow up the balance which need to be invoiced.

    We sell Christmas trees and take orders for various types of tree, all different sizes, all of which are dispatched in various part orders. It is critical that we can keep track of all items quoted, dispatched and invoiced. If xero is unable to reduce the number quoted, by the amount invoiced, are there any recommendations for an associated app to do so?

    Ability to create partial invoices from a quote, either as a percentage amount for each line or individual lines

    When you part invoice from a quote have the quote update to show just the residual balance so that next time you raise an invoice only the residual amount is available to invoice. For example, if the quote is for 10 "widgets" and you invoice for 4 the quote could show the transaction and identify that there are only 6 left to invoice.

    It would be useful to be able to generate several invoices from one quote since we typically send invoices at several stages of a project.
