AU Payroll - STP Finalisation Totals & Report
Ability to a total of all employees gross wages, and download figures for each individual employee with the total lodged with the ATO.
Purpose: To be able to see employee list with total amounts for each category (gross, tax, super, lump sums) after lodged with the ATO
Hi everyone, appreciate this idea has come from the prior Feature requests forum and to explain what is currently available - You can export a .CSV with all employee detail before finalisation.
From the STP Finalisation screen, select the check box at the top of the list for all employees - at the bottom of the page you'll see an Export .CSV option become visible, so you can view all the payment information before it's sent across to the ATO.

When preparing and reviewing the STP file before finalising (as an accountant reviewing multiple files) one frustration is that there is no Total Gross Wages that can be compared (i.e., the gross wages reported at Item 1) to payroll reports.
Basically, we are seeing (using example figures to illustrate):
Gross Wages 70k
Bonus 20k
RESC 15kThe amount reported as Gross Wages in a tax return is 75k - but the way the summaries look, it's easy to think it's 90k
Ideally, we just want an extra column in the CSV export and other reports to show the gross wages as they will be reported in a Prefill or on a Tax Return.
Either that or a report that compares the STP finalisation report to a Payroll Activity Report - we just want to be able to easily compare and check for errors before finalisation.
Further, we love the development of being able to download the zip file of PDFs for each employee - however, if we could get a summary PDF included in that pack, that would be fantastic.
