Dashboard - Show Current/Actual VAT liability
Similar to other "snapshots" available on the Dashboard, for any VAT registered business it is important to know liabilities at the click of a button. Please can Xero support look into an "add-on" for VAT liability total shown on the dashboard

Hey everyone, just a quick update on this one, as it was shifted to delivered in error.
Whilst we have refreshed the VAT dashboard widget with a new look, it does not display your current VAT liability - apologies for the confusion.
We’ll be opening this idea back up to votes and feedback from the community.
As the team have confirmed this is one they’re exploring, we’ll pop it in ‘working on it’ for now.

I would absolutely love to have this. I have come from Kashfow and this was always super useful to be able to see my quarter VAT liability right on my Dashboard.

Similar to other "snapshots" available on the Xero Dashboard, for any registered business or self employed owners it is important to monitor realtime tax liabilities at the click of a button or at a glance to avoid shock tax bills at year end.
As seen in image attached; Currently other accounting software providers do this already in calculating sales made and expenses claimed, matched against HMRC set tax rates for corporation tax, VAT, PAYE/NIC and flat rate income to give a realtime £ figure of exposure on each tax that goes up and down with business activities in realtime.
Please can Xero support look into an "add-on" for realtime TAX liabilities totals, to be shown on the dashboard.

This would be extremely helpful, especially for businesses dealing with reverse charged VAT etc

It would be really good if the VAT projection shown on the Analytics Cash Flow page was available on the dashboard and also in the app.
Many of our clients use the app in preference to via a browser and this would be very beneficial -

I had the very same idea. It makes sense that your current VAT liability should be included on the VAT RETURN box on the dashboard, not just the date of when your next return is due.
