AU Payroll - Automatically accrue RDO hours
Automatically accrue RDO hours after a certain amount of hours logged.
Job management systems push 80 hours over as a timesheet in Xero.
We would like the total combined hours logged (ordinary hours, annual leave, RDOs, personal leave and public holidays) in excess of 76 hours to automatically be converted to RDO hours.
E.g: If I log 80 hours ordinary time, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 78 hours ordinary time, I accrue 2 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 80 hours annual leave, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 72 hours ordinary time and 8 hours annual leave, I accrue 4 hours RDO.
E.g: If I log 70 hours ordinary time and 8 hours annual leave, I accrue 2 hours RDO.
For us this is the same for casual and full-time workers.

Since you are saying it is a job management app i would make the assumption you are in the AU building and construction award. If this is true than RDO accumulate the 2 hours weekly. Any other hours should accumulate as "TOIL" which can be adjusted in the Xero timesheet. The TOIL will be in a written agreement, between the employee & business, and the employee at any time can request to be paid the overtime rates. To be paid in the next Pay run.
Talk to an accountant/Bookkeeper who has building & construction experience
to discuss your individual requirements, or else your industry Association you might be a part of.
The accumulated hours of TOIL/RDO will be taken as a leave request -

To be able to have a daily accrual of RDO hours of .4 deducted from ordinary hours automatically would be great

It is quite time consuming to have to adjust this each pay. Have put a work around in but doesn't always suit the situation.

I have a client who employs staff some staff on an hourly rate and some on a daily rate. Unfortunately we can only accrue leave the rate the employee is paid eg if daily the leave shows on their payslip and in the leave accruals as daily. It would be good to be able to choose the accruals type so that it can be daily or hourly.
