AU Payroll - Multiple Earnings Rate in Payroll
Streamlining " Multiple of Employee's Ordinary Earnings Rate" .
I have a client who has 14 employees and 4 Ordinary Earnings Rate for each employee as their business trades 7 days a week. Each Employee is on a different Ordinary Earnings Rate. The current system on Xero requires you to create and select Multiple of employees ordinary earnings rate in the payroll settings and calculate and enter the multiplier % for each earnings rate for each employee in order for the ordinary earnings rate to be calculated and for the annual leave and carers/personal leave to be calculated. This is incredibly onerous and to consider that this needs to be then be entered in again when the award rates are released.
Other than that, the current employer has to manually add the annual and personal/carers leave for each weekly payrun. Can Xero upgrade this please?

We have a client who pays based on their award. As a result they have over a 100 different Earnings Names. Of those items, a full time employee may have 3 different earning names that are "ordinary earnings".
This makes things like accrual of leave accrual tricky especially when LWOP comes into effect.
It would also help with correct LSL accrual on all employees. -

It would be ideal if you could opt to accrue leave on fixed rate earnings that are in addition to Ordinary Earnings pay items such as Saturday, Sunday, Night Shift and Afternoon Shift pay items. We have a client that imports timesheets from their main software and require payroll items to be set up as 'rate per unit' for it to successfully integrate with Xero. However, we have now run in to the issue of having to complete a manual calculation for leave accruals for permanent employees who work regular shifts on Saturdays, Sundays etc Xero does not allow you to select leave accruals on other fixed rate earnings payroll items only multiples of ordinary earnings. Seems simple enough to set up for the multiple, that I don't see why it should not be an option for fixed rate payroll items. With the client newly coming to Xero it was a bit of shock, especially because they are on such a large subscription.

We require leave to be accrued across several pay items on ne payslip. The majority of our employees are paid different rates within their pay fortnight as they perform duites that attract different hourly rates. Manually adding leave accruals to our payroll of 130 employees is very time consuming.
We would be grateful if you made it possible to add a rate to the 'multiple of ordinary earnings' in pay items. Thanks. -

Accrue leave on fixed rate per unit pay rates
I have many permanent employees that are on different ordinary times rates. For public holidays I would like them all to be paid the same award rate of $53.82, however if I try and set up the fixed rate per unit I don't get the option of leave accruals, WHY?
So frustrating.
I don't want to set up a public holiday rate per person using the multiple of the employees ordinary rate.
I see this as being essential. -

Leave accrual calculation should include times entered against all pay types entered as ordinary time earnings rather than just the one ordinary times earning entered against the employee and pay items that are multiples of this one. This is important especially for part timers who you can't enter a fixed amount accrual because their hours worked vary and because some people are paid at a rate for some work which is not a multiple of their normal earnings rate.
