Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

I went to a Xero course recently and asked why everything that we enter into the Xero can't be downloaded into an excel spreadsheet so that we can use our own information - as we the owners of the data, wish to.
Maybe this option is available, but I am not an accountant who spends every day of the week working with Xero - I am a small business owner where owning and holding the information I enter into the program is imperative to our reviewing, planning, stocktaking, accountability etc.
If anyone knows how I can access an area in Xero that allows for all of the information from any column, box, section, form that I enter information into - please let me know!

It would be amazing if the GL could run the quantity & unit price columns like Receivable & Payables Invoice Detail reports do but ... these reports only work if the details are entered through invoices and bills. AND do not include GST exclusive column amount - only Gross including GST

That Xero cannot include quantities and cost/unit in transaction reports is just absolutely amazing. Every business is built on selling icecreams type a at $2 and icreams type B at $3 or tonnes of wheat grade C at $200/t and tonnes of wheat grade D at $250/t or purchase of litres of diesel @ xx c/l for a dozen differently priced deliveries or purchase of 124 sheep @ $xx per head etc etc. Without this information included at the total line of an account in the transaction report, the whole accounting system falls over because you then have to copy every thing onto a spreadsheet to get these figures. Without these figures how does one decide what the next business strategy should be.
I realise Xero is a fledgling accounting system but this glaring omission suggests the programmers might have missed the purpose of an accounting system.

We are a farming business and this would be of huge assistance with grain and livestock sales

100% agree with Peter Doyle. We are farm contractors also and Fuel Tax Credits are critical.

It would totally solve a few issues for such as Fuel Tax Credits and give us an opportunity to use for stock control seeing as our business practices are unable to use Xero Inventory and paying an exorbitant amount for added apps and the extra work that creates for a one-person operation is not a useful option..

Totally looking for this option. Our business deals with quantities a lot and this would be great.
It is so time consuming having to drill into each transaction to see the quanties or add them up.
Xero this is real simple option to add as we already have to enter the quantites. -

Given you can run quantities and price on sales (and purchase ledger reporting) it must be easy to add these fields to the GL transaction reporting as well. The data is there, it just needs to be linked. Please make this possible Xero.

It turns out that you can get the quantities, prices etc for sales from a export of invoice data.

Yes this would be a great idea as I have a client who sells and purchases cattle and needs this.

"At present, there isn't functionality in Xero to add the quantity from your receive money transactions to the report."
It would be great if this could be fixed up as well.

+1 all the data is there can't be that hard. It's unbelievable that quantities cannot be reported on transaction reports.

When capturing fuel, this report could assist with FTC and litres of fuel purchased.

The suggested solution of Payable Invoice Detail report doesn't take into account both cash and accrual basis. Not all fuel transactions will be entered through bills if they aren't on account, and therefore spend money transactions are missed on the above report.
Trucking businesses with hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel each quarter with a hundreds of transactions for fuel find it very difficult to calculate their FTC accurately and efficiently.
As previously mentioned, also for livestock calulations.
