Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.

The lack of a report showing quantities costs me hours regularly. This feature has been available in other software for decades, and has been requested from Xero since at least 2013. Being able to include a quantity column in a general ledger or account transaction report would save a tonne of time and work.

This addition will be super helpful for myself and my company, we manually add it in a report pulled from Xero.

Please can we get this available. Was actually shocked that it was not yet available as I thought it to be a basic inclusion.

It is beyond comprehension that the quantity field cannot be selected in a Transaction Report. This is not even an 'idea', it's just basic functionality that is woefully lacking.

I am surprised this is not a baseline reporting requirement. Quantity of an invoiced item helps determine trends in sales over time

This would be real useful.
On a Farm we need to record quantities of fuel, fertiliser, grain sales, lamb sales, basically everything and I can't believe that this was requested back in 2022 and hasn't yet been activated. -

This would a a huge help in calculating FBT, so we can see the number of ppl that an entertainment expense relates to. Woudl save doubling up on having a separate speadsheet.
We enter the Unit quantites when inputting, why can it the be included in a report ? -

How is this still not available???? every 1/4 I dread having to go into every, single, line to find out quantities for FCT

I need it to calculate the fuel Excise tax. I report using liters which i capture in the Units column

This is a massive issue, this is a basic need and still have not seen it happen, given you can add quantity to a transaction and not report on it....

I went to a Xero course recently and asked why everything that we enter into the Xero can't be downloaded into an excel spreadsheet so that we can use our own information - as we the owners of the data, wish to.
Maybe this option is available, but I am not an accountant who spends every day of the week working with Xero - I am a small business owner where owning and holding the information I enter into the program is imperative to our reviewing, planning, stocktaking, accountability etc.
If anyone knows how I can access an area in Xero that allows for all of the information from any column, box, section, form that I enter information into - please let me know!

It would be amazing if the GL could run the quantity & unit price columns like Receivable & Payables Invoice Detail reports do but ... these reports only work if the details are entered through invoices and bills. AND do not include GST exclusive column amount - only Gross including GST

That Xero cannot include quantities and cost/unit in transaction reports is just absolutely amazing. Every business is built on selling icecreams type a at $2 and icreams type B at $3 or tonnes of wheat grade C at $200/t and tonnes of wheat grade D at $250/t or purchase of litres of diesel @ xx c/l for a dozen differently priced deliveries or purchase of 124 sheep @ $xx per head etc etc. Without this information included at the total line of an account in the transaction report, the whole accounting system falls over because you then have to copy every thing onto a spreadsheet to get these figures. Without these figures how does one decide what the next business strategy should be.
I realise Xero is a fledgling accounting system but this glaring omission suggests the programmers might have missed the purpose of an accounting system.

100% agree with Peter Doyle. We are farm contractors also and Fuel Tax Credits are critical.
