New Profit & Loss report - Budget report to show for a full year as actuals and budgets
In the old reports there is a P&L report where you can show at any point in the year the actual monthly figures that have past and then the budgeted monthly figures going forward. I dont think there is currently a way of doing this in the new reports and this is something that clients like to see to show them if they keep going at the budgeted figures what the expected profit or loss will be for the year.
Hi everyone, back again and delighted to let you all know that you'll find a new report that is available in the reports centre and as a common format from the Profit & Loss report called 'Current financial year by month - actual and budget'!
This'll show all the months of the financial year, showing actual figures and your overall budget figures for future months 🙂

Says you have delivered this but I can only see the filter for tracking categories and not a filter to choose the corresponding budget - only the overall budget which doesn't make any sense. So if I want the actuals plus remaining budget for Department 'A' then surely I need to be able to filter on Department 'A' Actuals then add the remaining Budget for Department 'A' rather than the whole company budget?

If we prepare a budget in Xero clients want a report that shows actual vs budget month by month and totals.
