AU Payroll - Ability to pay an overseas foreign resident employee
we will have an overseas employee (from NZ) joining our australian company. In payroll I can put under Taxes the status Foreign Resident but not his address in NZ. I find this very restrictive to only be able to choose a State in Aus and no overseas addresses. Anybody an idea how to circumnavigate this without having to find some additional app to connect with Xero as was suggested by Xero Support.

I need to be able to set up 2 overseas staff members but have the same issue where Xero will not allow me to enter their addresses. Did you find any way around this at all?

an employee has moved to NZ, we are still paying him wages but currently Xero doesnt allow for STP lodgement thorugh the payroll functionality, would be good to have this added, No PAYG & No super is aplicable because of the treaty between AU and NZ - also would be good to have the capability to add in his NZ address to his employee details

Completely agree. We have employees based in NZ and I can do everything required for payroll/tax as they have opened Aus bank accounts, EXCEPT input their residential address.

I agree with this. I have an employee in Ghana and I can't pay them through payroll, nor can I have them as an overseas contractor. There are no tax obligations on them in Australia, and I don't know how to correctly record the expenditure agains wages and salaries......

Many professional firms have staff overseas so important to be able to process their wages as well through Xero Payroll.

Surely this would be straight forward to implement.

A lot of small businesses have VAs and staff overseas without a TFN, wihtout an address in Australia. Currently these employees and contractors can't get processed through Xero Payroll. Can you please change this? Our overseas team members also need payslips etc.

If Xero could add the option of OTHER in the postcode field, an overseas address could be added
