This small change to the Xero Me app would reduce the workload of the approver. Currently when an employee wants to amend their leave they cannot amend it if the leave has already been approved. It needs to be amended by another staff member with payroll administrator access. By allowing the employee to amend their own leave, it could then be re-approved by the payroll administrator, giving the employee more control over their own leave. This should be a common sense self-serve for employees to manage.

Please consider this request Xero team. Currently going to take leave, but notice employer approved all my hours as paid leave, putting me at a huge leave deficit. If I want to fix this myself, I have to go through a bunch of hoops instead of just doing it from my end.

Has this got any update at all? This really should be self serve, why payroll or admin have to cancel a leave request that has been approved but not taken yet is beyond me.

At the moment, if an employee requests leave, they can't remove their own request. That would be handy as sometimes you put in a leave request and then circumstances change and need to cancel your own leave. Thank you

Approve leave request email to show dates and hours e.g. in case of part day request its useful for approver to know staff is only requesting 2hrs leave instead of full day prior to having to log into xero.

Please allow staff to reject their own leave (once approved). Otherwise they need to email payroll officer to cancel their leave - this should be self serve, the same as applying for leave. Rejected leave should also be approved by payroll so relevant people are keep in the loop.
