Contacts - Form to request & capture details of a new customer or supplier
I have a client who is wanting to set up a vendor and queried about the ability to send a form to the potential vendor with information required directly from Xero
Unfortunately this is not an option at this time but I am wondering if this is something other businesses would use and how helpful this would be

This is our highest priority wish for Xero. We're finding it costs us a significant amount of money as a subscription platform when, over time, we're sending invoices to people who no longer work at our client organizations. Prompting our clients periodically to update their records, would mitigate some of this loss.

This would be amazing if this form was implemented on xero

I wonder if this could be integrated with a credit request form?
In any case, it would also be pretty cool to be able to send a message once a year with "Have your details changed in the last year? If yes, please use this link to update, if no please ignore/click this other button" - people often forget to update you when their details change, but if you make it easy for them, you're more likely to have the right info when you need it.

I'm a small business and send up to 15 invoices per week. The time it takes to manually enter each customer's details adds up. It would be great if I can send a link and say, "fill this form out", and a customer contact is created.
What we have been doing is send a PDF form for customer to fill in and return, then we manually enter the info.
Cant believe this hasn't been implemented already. If it has, I can't find it. -

I agree! I'm a small business and send up to 15 invoices per week. The time it takes to manually enter each customer's details adds up. It would be great if I can send a link and say, "fill this form out", and a customer contact is created.
Instead, we send a PDF form for them to fill in and return, then we manually enter the info. Surely its not that hard. Cant believe this hasn't been implemented already. If it has, I can't find it. -

Data entry and transferring contact/client contact details, addresses, bank details is a chore. Bigger companies get around this by sending onboarding forms to clients/suppliers. Xero could create a one-time portal for clients/suppliers to enter their own details with a link. I imagine that there is probably a lot of security and compliance aspects that would make this slightly tricky, but in essence it is just a data entry form. I have worked with agencies who even use google forms for this, so it doesn't have to be particularly complicated. It would naturally be more secure if run from the accounts system you use, rather than running through 3rd parties. This would put the data entry burden onto clients/suppliers, which would save business owners a lot of time!
