Invoices: Receive a notification when customer has viewed invoice or quote

To receive a notification when customer has opened or read quote or invoice. That way you know they have been received and there is less emphasis on following up.

    We need an email notification when quotes/invoices are viewed and paid.

    Is this sitll not a feature?

    I used to be able to see if the customer had viewed the quote or invoice. I cannot do this any more. Any solutions, please?

    Or even a viewed status on quotes like we have for invoices would be good.

    This would be a great option for quotations; at the minute you are unable to tell if they have. It's time consuming having to send a follow up email and sometimes off-putting for the client.

    The viewed icon is a great feature in invoicing (no complaints that the customer didn't receive their invoice etc!) but has a fault that it does not show as viewed if the customer opens the pdf not the linked file.. why not show both as viewed? Im just trialling the option by removing the pdf to see if this can overcome this annoying non feature. I don't use the quoting function from Xero as our quotes are somewhat complex but I sympathise with others frustration when submitting quotes & having no record of viewing from the other end. This I assume would be an easy fix & should be attended to by the Xero gurus but I note the original author posted this over a year ago so wont be holding my breath...

    This should be a mandatory and I find it crazy that other platforms like Xero have this and yet Xero doesn’t.

    Removes any doubt when dealing with customers who claim they've never received an invoice or quote and want special considerations.

    This would help our company with scheduling follow ups also. Again- strange that this function is available for invoices but not quotes. In addition - we have the option of attaching files for invoices straight away for invoices, but to attach files to quotes we need to save, close, re-open and then edit to attach a file to a quote.

    This is essential. being able to see if customers have viewed a quote saves following up. I find it quite strange it's not already in place, you already have this for invoices.

    i would really like xero to add this feature , it makes sense to be able to see if its viewed this will save chasing up the client. why have this feature for invoices but not on quotes, doesn't seem logical to me, come on xero other software's have this.

    It would help- some-times they seem to be unread/or in spam when I chase up.
