Invoices / Bills - Option to copy line above
Whilst doing multiline bills and invoices we need a key stroke shortcut that copies the line above to reduce time taken to enter data. I was used to this in sage. I REALLY miss it. Please!!!!
Appreciate wanting this feature if the line is unique, Melanie. However, if the lines are for items you regularly buy or sell, perhaps you could set up untracked inventory items to be able to quickly select and fill fields of your invoices and bills?

We need to duplicate unique lines all the time so that we can split bills across multiple tracking categories. Duplicate line is a basic function that all accounting tools should have

I really miss the ability to copy the line above as I have several departments and am often splitting invoices. This was F6 in Sage and really useful

Having just moved from Sage50 I used to use F6 to copy a line all the time. So quick and easy. Would appreciate a similar function in Xero.

I'm actually really surprised this isn't a feature already. in Sage it was an F Key (F6 I believe), and you could also use Shift+F6 to copy the cell above and add one, so if you were sequential numbering it made things really quick.
Just to clarify, it didn't copy the full line, but rather cell by cell, and you could copy a whole line in a second just by tabbing and pressing F6.

Sage50 used to have an f-key function to copy the details of the line above into a new line on both journals and invoicing. This was a real time saver - please can we get something like that in Xero

We've just moved over from Sage and miss this functionality so much! We operate under 1 business, but have multiple departments which we often split costs across so we would use this functionality daily.

This is also a feature we miss after moving over from Sage. Setting up an inventory item is not the answer for this as it can vary between circumstance and customer.

It would be useful in ALL Xero functions and for ALL fields - journals, bill, invoices, bank, description, qty, amount, code, tax, dept (tracking fields)...you get the idea. This will speed up any manual input that is required - it's not always efficient or appropriate to set import template or set up products and inventory when you have a handful of items to input
